Giveaway Tell me a way a 11year old can earn money in the uk!

I'm pretty sure an 11 year old is not going to make money easily. Why? Because you shouldn’t. I don't think most people will employ someone so young because is hard and awful to force a kid to work. And is even harder to entrust a child with responsibilities. I know life is hard, and I specially know what it feels like to have a single mother and a jerk father. I don't know how healthy or strong is your mother, because I know alot of mothers are not, but I think you are too young to be worrying about money and you should let those things be handle by your mom. I suppose I want to ask you why you want the money?
And more importantly, I'm not sure how laws in UK work but If you dad is not helping you economically, can't your Mom consult a lawyer? Or aren’t there services that help women in the situation of your mother? At least they could give her advice. In my case that was how my mom and I solved our situation.

  • Buy games secondhand and sell them more expensive.
  • If you are creative, sell your art work online through websites.
  • Do chores. Like fixing the yard for people or washing cars.
  • Sell stuff you don't use. (You'll be surprised how much you have)
  • Start blogging about something you like or are good at. (use ads to make money)
  • Help younger kids with their homework/ teach them.
  • Go on the streets and beg for money ( just saying. It's a possibility lol)
Final step:
:rolleyes:Make it rain!

All these Americans answering cluelessly... I don't know any sane parent who would let an 11 y/o babysit their kids. The only thing you can do is get a paper-round, kid. Not many other options around.

Work at a public store

selling their toys on ebay
getting a paper-round

Hmm..!

If you're artistic, you can make crafts, like jewelry, drawings, or pottery, and sell them to your neighbors and friends. When I was growing up, one of my friends made little clay figurines of animals and sold those for a dollar each. I still have the ones I bought from her! They also make great gifts too for birthdays and holidays!

try pickpocketing. esp if ur small and fast enough

??? Who say what now?
I'm the slowest in class :(

I recommend baby sitting walking neighborhood dogs mowing lawns, I did that to and made a few 100$ a month.Oh! I also tutored little kids

In uk, 11year olds Babysitting is illegal. I'm afaid of dogs. I like the idea of tutoring

Figure out what she likes, make those things or do things for her and have her pay you for it ;D
I'm sure she doesn't need that much money, lol.
Or, have a yard sale, sell some stuff you never use anymore, or toys you've grown out of.

Or, play around on paint a bit, find an art style you're good at, and make little cute $1 (or your equivalency to that) art for ppl. Make sure it's pretty quick to make, and since it's cheap, ppl would buy, and after about 10 or so ppl, you're getting somewhere!!

Cool

Meh. Anyway. Last one.

Sell digital things or do something like making a video.
Anything that's worth 5 dollars.
At fiverr. Com you can sell anything.

And you can even sell extra gigs (that's how they call it) for more money.

They really have a lot. From making simple home made videos to making pictures with you and the name of a brand in it.
Or tutoring via Skype.

Go ahead and see for yourself. Maybe that will help you.

uhh when i was 11 (i'm in the u.s. so it'll be a little different), i
-watched my younger brother
-kept up grades and asked parents if i could have a little pocket money in return (something like $5 a week aha)
-watched neighbor's houses when they went on vacation (watered their plants, help upkeep their yard, etc.)
-watched neighbor's dogs/cats/etc when they went on vacation (feed them, let them inside at night, take them for a walk, etc.)
-tutored some kids in lower grades

good luck!! :-)
you could also try reselling snacks? i remember kids always did that in middle school (buy candy or whatever in bulk, sell each for 50 cents or whatever, make profit)

I really wish people who aren't from the UK wouldn't post in this thread, as most of these suggestions are ridiculous tbh >.<

alesha, you shouldn't be worrying too much about money at your age! But selling some of your art online, or getting a paper round are really your only options, unless you have relatives that would pay you for doing odd jobs. Though I think you have to be at least 13 for a paper round. :(

there's this app (if you have an iphone) where you can download free apps and get points. a certain amount of points allows you to redeem things like paypal cash or amazon gift cards or etc. it takes a while unless you know lots of people tho bc then you have half of their points too! (if anyone's interested, message me for my referral code!!)

feature points is such a pyramid scheme and the only people who actually gain anything out of it are usually popular and have a large following/fanbase who have that large audience to give their code to. otherwise you really don't gain anything out of it.

when i was saving money for my 3ds i pet-sitted for my friends and i kept my grades up to bribe my parents c:

I'm pretty sure girls in the UK can do similar things girls can do in America..but here's a list :

- Ask your parents for a dollar for every chore you do without being asked (most parents do this from what I know)
- Hold a yard sale with the help of an adult
- Offer do help a neighbor like mowing their lawns. Seems like a vintage way but it's still a good way of making money
- Dog walk
- Babysitting
- Help out at a daycare center
- Hold a lemonade stand
- Work at the library

There's honestly not much an 11 year old can do to make a lot of money :/ but the key is just patience. If you rush things, you'll end up getting frustrated and give up. Just give it some time, kids at that age don't have many options..but I suggest the easiest way is dog walking and baby sitting.
