I agree that this year’s was rather easy. Though I think the reason why 2015 was so hard was not just because of how strict the rules were, but rather because egg hunts were still rather new at the time. But now there are so many, we know how these egg hunts work.

If this was considered an easy egg hunt then I never would have found a single egg in the past. But, I'm probably just not very good at these things so thats on me.

I did really have fun searching for egg 21! It was a fun challenge! I have an idea where it is now, but I dont have the mental energy left to look

We got better but they are also easier, I remember the time when the search button was disabled and just a tiny bunch of ppl were getting all the eggs. The majority had 5-15 eggs.

why back in my day, I had to trek at least 500 threads through the deep posts for just the miniscule chance at a singular egg, and by golly, I was happy. now it's all just search bar this, and community hints that

surely, nobody takes this post seriously

mine was also the third (wasn't active in community events when the second happened, despite having an account), and checking back, I got 17/24

honestly, unreal. though perhaps skipping what would've been my first offered a buff for the second

It took me years to get 17 eggs. They made me cry each year.

honestly, with the more lax rules on help and the search bar being available, certainly easier. though if we were operating with old egg hunt rules in place, this might've been one of my worst hunts. simply due to other things taking my focus as well, currently

hell, iirc, staff sometimes even disabled registrations during them, to prevent people from running it with multiple accounts for maximum egg gains

It was my best so far, not counting the community eggs, I only really struggled with #4. I think I was just too overwhelmed (and I was trying to do the MAL hunts at the same time). No more puzzles! I liked puzzles when we could spam until we got it right but new puzzles stressed me too much, spelling mistakes made me lost eggs.

Right, the search was disabled for everything and it was super inconvenient.

If the search bar were disabled still I would be one of those casual members who were affected. I see the value in keeping things closed, but I have made my thoughts clear on events having a negative effect on the rest of the forum.

I have made peace with it though and have come around, and I am happy that the staff have seemed to make an effort to make life great for everybody while still running an event like this. While I wasnt invested in the egg hunt (3 found, one by accident, and I now have a cheeseburger egg) I enjoyed reading the excitement in this thread, and even went overboard trying to find egg 21 for you all.

Thank you to the staff for their continued hard work, and providing entertainment!

Phewww I had such a busy weekend I barely had time to get my hands dirty and search I literally found one of my last eggs right before I was going to give up LOL ... I would have been so mad

Congrats to @Briar for finding it!! And thank you and everyone else for the hints, just managed to find it.

Now I just have a few eggs left,,
I have ideas for each of them but hopefully I can find stuff looking at them with fresh eyes.
Do agree though, in general the clues this year feel a bit easier than usual.

Thanks so much for another fun event. Thanks again to everyone that helped so much with the community clues. You are all amazing. I am happy with finding 12 eggs. It’s more than I thought I would get. Happy I was able to get the eggs I wanted.

I too, also had my first egg hunt be the third one in 2015. I was a little too depressed to consider playing New Leaf (And being on TBT for that matter) to be aware that an egg hunt in 2014 was being held. Of course, that depression of being discouraged to play New Leaf was over a month later, and when I did the egg hunt in 2015, it was a new and fun experience for me. Sure it was hard, but I managed to at least get 14/24, that's above average for a first timer!

I had fun doing it in the end, though I wish I got just one more to get the Waluigi Egg. Thankfully, a lovely user named Coach gave me a Waluigi egg for a price of 600 TBT. It was a fair trade. The egg I had found by clicking on random threads was the Minecraft one. And to this day, I still have no idea why the egg clue for it correlates to Minecraft...

Over the years, my training for egg hunting has improved, and that's a good thing to say. Though some egg clues I am incapable of finding without private assistance.

Oh yeah, and the search bar wasn't really much of an issue for me, and neither is it now. I only use it for community clues anyway... (Except for 2022's #22 and this year's #12 where I quickly found them like it was a no-brainer.)

While I may be no expert hunter to gain the gold egg, (Though it'd be nice to have) I still enjoy these events nonetheless.
