I would be willing to bet that before his death, you made plenty of jokes at his expense, one way or another.

to turn around and say that he's a hero in death, while he was a total freak in life is, in my opinion, quite hypocritical.

but who cares, right?

if the first season didn't have him, they would have had another writer we'd be mourning over whenever his death came around.

it's a sad day, but he's hardly the only reason pokemon (in anime form, at that) exists.
