Swimming feels SO much better than in New Leaf!

I think I'm just impatient person cause I think it's just as slow and tedious as NL lmao. At least it looks better now and you can use the Nookphone while swimming

I would rather see a shadow.
Also I really loathe the phone.

Mobile apps etc on a deserted island.

I play AC to escape the daily grind of technology and when I land on my island I'm handed a mobile phone full of apps.

I wish it wasn't part of the game.

I just wish we didn't have to spam the a button to swim. Would have been nice if we were able to just hold it down (unless I'm dumb and missing something).

I liked it better in NL.
It feels heavy like I'm swimming through mud.

The fast creatures are a nightmare.

The only positive is they don't escape under the net, and you don't get stung by jellyfish.

I would have also liked the pirate set from Pascal, instead of more useless girly DIY's I'll never use.

For the fast creatures, don't push A to swim. Just drift near them slowly and dive down on top of them. It's like sneaking up on a bug. Don't try to outswim them.

My goodness I read a lot of your comments and they all seem so negative..If you ask me the mobile phone makes everything easier plus it's Just Tom Nook helping you keep in touch with anyone and everyone ^^

I know right! The graphics are so much better, and when we dive to the bottom, instead of us being a blob as well, it actually shows your avatar! Also, the sea creatures looks so much more better than they did in new leaf!

i love the new diving feature and i think it flows so much more smoothly then in NL. Im so happy pascal is back and im glad that they have brought back the mermaid furniture, its so cute and makes a great under water room. my hope is that after pascal gives out all the mermaid furniture recipes, he then gives out the pirate recipes so that everyone is happy, but personally the pirate furniture doesn't do it for me. i think the fact that you can use the phone in water is hilarious, glad to know that the nook phone is water resistant

Agree, it's definitely smoother and while I haven't got that many critters yet it feels less annoying with those fast swimming ones also.

I have had *so* much better luck on day 1 catching difficult stuff than in New Leaf! And honestly... even with the occasional frustration, I *loved* diving in New Leaf. ;u; I'm super excited to decorate with new lil fishtanks, too!! I completely love the GIGACLAAAAAM and vampire squid and moon jelly when they're placed, a tonnnn of the new species just look really nice as decorations imo!

I personally never had many problems with New Leaf’s version other than jellyfish kicking yo butt every time you stop swimming and sea creatures swimming away past the boundary line so I couldn’t get them. So far haven’t experienced both in New Horizons so yeah it’s definitely better. I’m glad they improved it. I also think the speed should stay the way it’s at.

So, I went to take a look at this last night because I couldn't remember. There are shadows for creatures. You just can't see them until you dive down. But, if you dive down on top of the creature you won't necessarily see them all the time because your body blocks the view.

The better graphics really improve the experience. I am also glad they removed the jellyfish constantly stinging you because I found that incredibly tiresome.

I definitely like it a lot more now. In New Leaf, I found sometimes they would just escape and even though i was right next to it, I would emerge from the water and the shadow (usually a big fast one) would be gone. So I didn't really enjoy it all that much.

It doesn't seem to be like that now, its much more fluid and I love the graphics and motions of the water, makes for a relaxing and enjoyable experience!

I agree that it would have made more sense for Pascal to give you the pirate themed furniture liked he used to.

Really where did the idea of pirate Gulliver even come from? Instead Nintendo should have introduced a brand new NPC to give you the mermaid DIYs. It's like they can't think of anything so they randomly dressed Gulliver as a pirate and called it a day. Oh well, I like Gulliver a lot so I can forgive it.

Plus, I love swimming. To me it's just the right speed. I mean, it's not like our players are Olympic champions.

But an addition of matching flippers for our snorkels would have been amazing.
