I’m looking to play Stardew Valley on Nintendo Switch in multiplayer. So if anyone would like to play a steady regular game with me, I’d be more than happy to team with you. I’ve tried it a few minutes yesterday and it’s quite fun.

What’s needed?
• Nintendo Switch with a copy of Stardew Valley
• A Nintendo Switch Online subscription
• A decent Internet connexion
• A phone with the Nintendo Switch Online app so we can talk and decide what we want to do (the text based chat in-game is just too slow for a good communication.
• Be more than 18 years-old
• Your merry self!

Wait why do you have to be over 18
I'm in my mid-30s. It's a bit weird/creepy to play with someone underage (who I don't know) over the Internet. At least, that's the way I see it. That's they way I would see it if I was a parent of a teenager.

Really? In this day and age I feel like people need to set those ideas aside and just have a good time together. Unless you are someone who likes to get very close with their gaming friends, then I understand. But forgive me this thread was about Stardew Valley.

Does the online work well? I'm interested in buying it if it's fun :)

It's really fun. I've tried the coop mode for 2 hours along with the Nintendo Online voice chat app (a must with this game) to chat it out when playing. It was pure joy. I wish I'd have played a lot more, but the person I was trying it with only wanted to see how it works and never planned playing a long term game.

Only interacting with adults in a 'private manner' online is a great policy. After all, it involves voice chat in private, a minor shouldn't be talking to adult strangers they don't know in voicechat. The fact it's 2018 is irrelevant : in fact, in this day and age it's so easy for predators to access children, it's not normal for grown adults to pal around with children. As a child I had many predators try take advantage of me online, normalising that adults shouldn't interact with children online - in private - is a great idea.

Just wanted to interject.

Exactly, and to add my 2 cents, this also protects the adult from any "online pervert weirdo" suspicion. Better safe than sorry.
