Speculation: What do you think the second summer update will include?

I definitely think fireworks are included (which is awesome bc my bday is on a saturday!!) I would also like to see bulk crafting/buying added bc it's a huge pain to re-enter the changing room in Able's 7 times to get all the color variations of a cute shirt or accessory. Finally, I'd like some new items (maybe the firework table will make a return?), unlike two new series getting added I think there will be 3 new items introduced to the game

I hope it is another Nooks upgrade, doesn't have to be like in NL where Leif joins them yet.

Upgrade available where if you do enough Label stuff she now partner's with her sisters to upgrade Able Sisters.

Something to involve the dock. Either Kapp'n or SOMETHING. Since seems like a lot of stuff is centered on Norther Hemisphere seasoning (swimming added in July example) adding something that involves the dock would make sense seasonally now instead of later.

Another (but smaller) furniture set of some sort OR now that wedding season is good and over, Cyrus & Reese visit and offer more customization options... LIKE PAINTING FENCES OTHER COLORS.

Dream suite. Hopefully, we get that soon. I've been itching to go DA hopping and explore the beautiful creation of people. My daughter loves doing that as well, so we use it as kind of like a bonding moment/opportunity.

Why are they treating NH like PC with these updates?

Because of a small amount of timetravellers who spoilers the events for the whole community. While some people are fine with being spoilered, some are definitely not and you can't unsee it once you've seen it or not use social media ever again because of people who ruin things for others. So Nintendo chose to include things in small bits.

Going off of the datamines I'm gonna guess the dream suite for now. The café hasn't been added to it seems as of now so while I really hope it's in it, I am gonna say that that's gonna be for later.

The firework festival, and maybe something small. I feel like the big update was this month, with the diving, and the following month will be a bit smaller.

I know a lot of people don't care for it, but I would love to see gardening. It would be a nice little extra thing to do. Maybe every villager has certain favourite dishes that you can make for them or perhaps we can use the foods we grow to make new furniture DIYs. Think about it, they would effectively be adding more furniture sets but could also easily add actual food DIYs since they took out all the sweet food items that were in NL. Maybe then we wouldn't have to resort to making "food" out of hats.

I really am not expecting Brewster to come back just yet. It just feels too early. I'm guessing another Nook's Cranny upgrade before we see the cafe.

I'm trying not to get too excited as I would love Brewster having his own café building and the Dream Suite, I think the fireworks festival is a high possibility, but I'm also reading into the fireworks background as a sign that this is gonna be an explosively big and awesome update. Looking forward to finding out!

I'm hoping for Kappn, fireworks and Nook Cranny update. While I believe Brewster is coming eventually, I think he's more of a fall update. Dream Suite is definitely somewhere to.

What I'm hoping for: A massive update. Brewster and his cafe unlocked. Brewsters gives out gyroids. Dream Suite and Luna unlocked. (Maybe these are on a shopping island) A Nooks and Ables remodel. The remodeled Ables will have a Kicks section. The remodeled Nooks will have a Leif section. Daily visitors are now: Saharah, Gulliver, CJ, Flick and Redd each week. Various QoL improvements and reintroducing items such as the megaphone.

What I expect: Brewster, his cafe, and gyroids. Thats about it...

The dev team wants to release small monthly updates to keep people playing over a long period of time, unfortunately.

I think that will be coming in fall, not summer. Just my opinion though. I hope he comes sooner.

I'll honestly take anything in this update, just something to keep me entertained. I do like that they're releasing in updates and I don't want everything at once. I really hope we can display Gyroids in the Museum, though, I really want the museum to be as big as possible, its one of my favorite parts of the game.

Definitely fireworks in some fashion, and then I'd wager Tortimer's island via the dock. I think other more indoor/building-oriented updates will be later.

The game was likely prematurely released. They fell behind schedule, especially due to COVID-19.

I do feel the release was rushed in some aspects (or rather, they didn't want to further delay it), but I absolutely 100% doubt covid was the cause

really, it's almost certainly just the usual case of nintendo having been too ambitious for their own good
