It's that time again. Trying to get a certain villager to move out. I've spend two days now TT back and forth, trying to get Peggy to move out and she refuses time and TIME again! There is a ping, but no word of moving out, EVER!

It's really frustrating! Befriending is the guaranteed way, but it takes freaking forever! Is there really no way to make them move out quicker?

Making friends with them is actually not guaranteed - there's an equal chance of villagers whom you are friends with and whom you aren't friends with moving out.
You could first find someone moving out, deny their request, TT forwards 6 days then going back to the original day to guarantee a mover (but if you can't find anyone just TT forward 1 day). This is the fastest way to get someone to move :)
Also keep in mind that the most recent move has a lower chance of moving out.

Good luck!

I had my Peggy in my town move out just today. I never talked to her and she actually left! But it took a lot of time traveling. :/

I always travel 3 days, back and forth. Just to be sure that I don't lose my dream villagers.

Omg ikr? XD I remember when Axel told me that he was thinking about moving, and I was like "wow yes yes yes just move away from this town I won't miss you", and BAM it hit me. When I told Axel to move, he actually said that he was going to stay instead of moving because he wanted to "become better friends with me" and all that nonsense...so yeah, he's still in my town as far as I know (since it's been some days I played ACNL). :p

But here's what I usually do to make villagers move out: (and the letter one works out pretty awesome for me, it got some villagers that I didn't want in my town to move pretty fast I would say)

1. Whack them with any tools that you possibly can with
2. Start pushing them around town
3. Bury pitfall seeds (I love doing traps around them with pitfalls hehe) and push them to the cracks so they'll fall
4. Start to talk to them, but when they say "What's up? You wanna talk to me?" and stuff like that just say no repeatedly
5. Send them a hateful letter about how you hate them and how you want them to get out of your town asap, and give them rotten fruit along with it
6. When they ask for fruit, give them a rotten one

And...that's pretty much the list of what usually I do to unwanted villagers XD :D. I don't really do all of the things listed to an unwanted villager though, just some. Hope you get Peggy out soon! :)

Ignoring them seems to be the fastest way. Once they move in, introduce yourself, and don't talk to them again no matter what. For me, they're typically out by the end of the week.

I feel you. I FINALLY got Klaus to ping and then when I said he could move out he changed his mind.

You can always just close the game without saving, and try again :) I've had villagers who changed their mind, but I closed my game, started it back up, and they agreed to move out the next time around

Mm hm, that works too but just a lot slower than the 6 day method. Because the game cannot process a new mover on the same day as a move request, you can actually TT as many days forward as you want without losing anyone.
e.g. Decline someone's move out request, on the same day, TT forward 3 years, and all your vilagers will still stay the same.
That's how the 6 day method works :) it's the smallest number of days to TT in order to force a mover (as a new mover will be selected within 6 days of declining one)

I've been trying to get Peck to move out for months. He was the last to move in, so I'm likely going to have to sacrifice a villager I like just to get rid of him.

PRAISE JESUS! LIONEL IS FINALLY MOVING OUT!!

Worth the day TT effort. Amazing how many times every other villager wanted out.

It took 2 years to get Chester out of my town, and when rumors of him finally moving came around I just TT'd 5 days to get him out.

2 YEARS - is that a joke?! Oh, goodness. It better not take that long for the rest of my villagers to move out... ;w;
