I just wonder if this means the game will be shut down for a bit or is it just another normal downloaded update?

I think you just can’t go online while they’re uploading the update

The Summer Update (Wave 1) is to release at 9PM EST tonight, which is in just under an hour away. The maintenance is likely to push out the update and to update the servers to be compatible with the newly released update.

The maintenance is for online, but that’s probably because of the update.

It’s the update. It’s the 3rd in Japanese time. Big April update was the same way

I’m pretty sure it’s technically the 3rd for them. Different time zone so 6 for PST
