Ditto on the eyes. The original series art had it's own appeal, and I think this one does too. The only problem I see is the unusually disproportionate limbs, most noticeable during the 3D transformation. I know long arms in anime isn't unusual, but it sticks out really bad to me because they're also very slender and, most importantly, shapeless, and those two qualities tend to make the limbs look...alienish or something ^^; That's just my opinion though!I just watched it and loved it. I I haven't watched much of the original (unless maybe I did when I was much younger), but I have read the manga. I'm excited that they're keeping things very similar this time around (particularly Rei's personality).
What do you guys think of the art? I wasn't too crazy about the eyes, but they've grown on me.
I guess next week we'll know what NicoNico means with "Free Distribution for 2 Weeks Only". I don't think it means we'll have to pay to watch the next episodes, will it? o_o'
I read on a forum that some people are convinced that the first two arcs will be covered, because they are both 13 chapters in the manga and there will be 26 episodes. I really hope that won't be the case and only the first arc will be covered. As much as I like the idea of not having any filler episodes, I do hope they won't go with "one chapter = one episode", because it would make the series move very fast.
That's not necessarily a bad thing, but the first episode kinda left me with a feeling of "What? It's over already? But nothing happened!" I mean, compared to the first episode of the original anime the fight was a little disappointing since it was over so quickly (though yeah, that's how it happens in the manga).
Anyway, we'll find out soon enough. One more week and then we see Ami in action. I'm already looking forward to her transformation and attack sequences. ^_^
I watched it. so far i think the art is okay, i don't really like the eyes and lack of facial expression usagi has. also I MISS THE OPENING SONG ): i don't like this one that much but maybe it'll grow on me. sailor moon was a huge part of my childhood so it's kinda weird seeing how much it changed but nonetheless i'll still watch it
