Sailor Moon Crystal

WHY MUST EVERYONE BE SO ATTRACTIVE IN CRYSTAL??

I mean, look at Usagi's Dad now, in comparison to the 90's anime:

He used to look so dorky, but now.. Wow.

Anyway; WHOOP, NEW TIARA! and that dance+kiss!

It's funny when people complain about the CG transformations and sloppy animation.
Whereas other Toei Animation anime like Digimon Adventure had the same EXACT problems but nobody complained about it.

I actually just started the original :) Didn't really watch it as a kid. Is Crystal more like a Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood thing? (I prefer the original FMA and always will)
So far it's not too bad though, I'm also watching Cardcaptor Sakura which I personally enjoy way more, but there's so many cute images and merchandise associated with Sailor Moon, which helps. I hope it can be enjoyable overall, even if I ever watch Crystal (not likely but who knows).
Happy for the long-time Sailor Moon fans and hope Crystal is exceeding your expectations. :D

I just love the first ED btw, gosh this gonna be such a long series but maybe I'll make it (have been watching 12-26-episode anime for a few years now); This is so sweet and lovely to me :)

Fifth episode tomorrow!
That reminds me, I have to go back to the original and watch up to Jupiter's appearance in the show.
The last episode I watched fully was Nightmare in Dreamland (Ha ha, a Kirby reference before it was a thing), and that episode was just....oozing with entertainment.

Fifth episode was today and we got to see Sailor Jupiter!

It's interesting how the episode is close to the manga, yet quite different at the same time. :)

The upcoming Blu-Ray and DVD release of Sailor Moon Crystal, coming October 15th in Japan, will include some touched up scenes. A lot of fans had issues with the quality of some of the animation in Sailor Moon Crystal when it was first streamed and now some of these scenes have been reanimated. A video has been released on the official Sailor Moon YouTube Channel showing new scenes.

Just watched up until Jupiter's appearance and it's great but it feels like it's got a lot more of a serious tone than the original.

And everytime I see the OP, the last few seconds sound so much like Attack on Titan. :U

Next episode this Saturday! Which is already the sixth one, I believe. I'm looking forward to it if only to find out how much different things will be from the manga. Already there are quite some differences and yet, the episodes so far have been very close to the manga, so I'm curious as to what they'll do with this. We'll find out soon enough!

Weeeeeeeeeell, that wasn't quite what I had been expecting but I totally loved it!

i just finished episode 5 and i'm about to start 6
makoto is so pretty and i love her voice <3

I don't know, but you would think that the Senshi are aware that transforming in front of an enemy is a BAD idea. From what I remember from the original series, they always made sure no one saw them when they transformed (there were only a few times when someone saw them transform and that was mostly because they had no other choice then). But I guess it's one way of making sure things go quickly and you avoid having to spend time on the enemy trying to figure out who the heck the Senshi are.

It's sad like i was so obsessed with the original SM, i had the dolls, i watched all 5 series with my Dad, but i just cant get into this one :/
i'm glad other people like it though ^_^

I still have mixed feelings about it, to be honest. The animation is... not that good, but it is interesting to see what they're doing this time with the storyline. I was actually pleasantly surprised with the last episode (ignoring the quality of the animation, that is), though the last part felt incredibly rushed, though that might also be because my brain was going "finally, this is what we've been waiting for and now the episode is over?!"

I don't understand what people mean by the animation being bad, to be honest. The animation looks great to me, but it's the art
in some places (although the latest episode didn't have that many, thankfully) like with the rushed faces that seems bad. There was one scene where Usagi's odango hair buns, or whatever you prefer to call them, were way too small. It was kind of funny to be honest, haha.

The animation seems to run smoothly, in my opinion, so I was just wondering what exactly you mean. :)
