Well I guess they don't like certain bands because they find it offensive to their beliefs.

Like that Oh my god thread.
A member's friends felt that 'Oh my god' was an offensive term.
While others didn't feel it was.

Most modern christian rock deals with themes that everyone deals with. It's not like "Accept Jesus or you will DIE!"

That's what Whitecross and Stryper were for.

Other genres are like that too, dealing with everyday things.

But I don't feel it's right if they try to guilt trip you.

It's pretty much like someone putting a gun to your head and forcing you to do something, in a way.

I know. It's one of those things I can't stand. Like when my "Christian" friends send me those emails saying "If you love God, then pass this message on before it loses my meaning."

Guilt tripping is everywhere. It can take form in anything, even like you said, a chain letter.

The article is a load of crap. I am a huge fan of rock music, but I also don't let it control my though, actions, life. People just want one more excuse to try and possibly get away with the things they do.

p.s. I totally agree with Mega above statement. Our mind sees what we want it to see. And then everyone else just agrees.
