Regarding Multiple Characters and HHP DLC

Hey, y’all! I posted this in another DLC thread, but I’m not sure if it’ll get responded to, so I wanna ask in my own thread. (Maybe others have the same question.)

If we pay for the HHP DLC, does that allow all the accounts we created on that one Switch to access it? For instance, I have 5 characters, so I’d like all of them to have access to the DLC (mainly for the perks of interior building with dividers, pillars, and counters). Right now, only my main character can use the online subscription because I’m a part of my brother’s family plan.

Ya I talked to nintendo when the the update got revealed and as long as the accounts on the island share the same primary switch which the account is associated with, all players will have access to the DLC.

However, if you get it through the Nintendo Switch Online expansion, only the account associated to the subscription will have access to it. So it's better to just buy it outright!

I have an alt profile I only use for Animal Crossing and, like, Pokemon. It’s not hooked up to a My Nintendo account or the shop independently, since it’s not tied to an actual person, and it has no trouble playing games I own digitally and are tied to my account. (Case in point, my copy of Animal Crossing is digital.) I believe that wouldn’t be the case if it were tied to a second account, but since there’s only one on the Switch, it’s fine. (But I admittedly haven’t experimented that much.)

Yeah! I have ACNH digitally and play on all characters, but only one is tied to my main account and Nintendo shop. I’m glad others here answered and were able to help ease my worries about the DLC! All my character houses are about to get some upgradeeess.
