Question about old villagers camping?

I want Beau back and I've had 16 villagers cycle out before him, meaning I can get him again. However, I tried the plot controlling trick for days and got nothing, not even the villagers before him. I'm trying to get him in my campsite now via the camping trick. How come he won't show up anywhere even though I've had 16 villagers (probably more) move out since him?

It takes a long time with the reset trick. They have 333 villagers. So it's a 1/333 chance of getting Beau. Maybe you should watch for auctions and stuff on this forum

Yeah that's true. The reset trick is tedious but worth it in the end I guess! And I've tried for auctions, but they go so fast and people pay millions of bells. I cannot afford that.
