Is there a limit or constraint for moving in villagers? Like if I move Stitches in today and kick him out using another amiibo, would I be able to move him back in right after he moves out?
Also, regarding the crafting request, does it always take 3 tries? And if I save the game before talking to them, and then restart the game if the crafting request requires materials I don't have, will the request change?
Lastly, is it still dangerous to adopt villagers forced out via amiibo? Heard that the previous glitch has been patched, but a new one surfaced?

Sorry for all the questions! Am thinking of selling amiibo villagers to make some tbt 😅

I moved out Fang with amiibo once then pushed someone else out with his amiibo. I had no problem. You do have to craft 3 items over 3 days each time. If an item they request takes up too much of my material I usually just TT to the next day and try again. I’ve seen amiibo villager glitches but none were dangerous and adoption process went fine. Basically don’t TT backward as the villager is in the move in process.

Great! Thanks for your help. So basically the item is tied to the day?

I think I TTed backward once as amiibo Fang was moving in and he had Ankha’s house exterior. Also when he was in boxes to move out he was crafting but there was no table. But the dialogue and everything else went normally. I would just TT forward until they are fully moved in, then travel back to the current day. I don’t know how it fully works but I know that works fine for me.

  1. There's no limits or constraints like that.
  2. It always takes 3 days. I'm not sure if restarting does anything, but if you can't do the request, you can just bring the Amiibo back the following day and try for a different DIY. It's just 3 days of work in general; it doesn't have to be consecutive. You can't really "fail" at inviting a Amiibo, from what I understand.
  3. The new glitch was called the "Moving Out" glitch and it affected all villager adoptions, not just Amiibo. That was also patched as of the 1.2.0. update. There are still some minor glitches that involve all campers. Things like the exterior glitch, which happen if you skip the "plot sold" day while forcing a villager out, or a glitch where, if two villagers are in boxes to move out at the same time, one will remain stuck in boxes until you take further action. Since you have Amiibo, you can basically fix any of the glitches with a bit of time and effort even if you do get them.

wait really? so when i rescanned marshal the next day and he asked for a golden candlelight again that was just a coincidence?
i really refused to waste another golden nugget, i already gave him a golden candlelight the first time i invited him

Oof. That squirrel has expensive taste.

I don't have any personal experience with Amiibo, but that's what I've heard from other folks! I've also heard that you can essentially farm DIY recipes from Amiibo by just inviting them back over and over but never fulfilling the requests, so I figured that means the requests are randomized each visit? But anyone is free to correct me if I'm wrong!

I know that the Amiibo pulls DIYs specific to their personality (Smugs have a lot of golden DIYs, haha), so while it's unlikely to get the same one twice, it's also not impossible.

Oh that's so interesting! Never knew the DIY was tied to their personality.

Yep! For any given personality, it's actually the same pool of DIYs that you get from crafting villagers and from messages in a bottle. You can find guides and stuff that list what personality gives you what DIY.

If you get addicted to scanning Amiibo, know that every time you scan one, the campsite rates reset so you’ll have 0% chance of a random camper the next day, building back to 20% in about a week.

yes it is. let me link you to this database which DIYs you can get for each personality. i have amiibos of each personality, and sometimes i do randomly scan them to get a chance of getting a DIY i want lol

and in return he gave me a mesh cap to show his appreciation... silly squirrel!
i do scan random amiibos too to get DIY recipes, but i haven't done this as frequent as others.
