PwP theory (ACTUALLY WORKS!)

I didn't word it correctly but one of the people who posted in this thread hit the nail on the head.

My brother tried it last night and it worked.
He got the lighthouse last night.

If someone could please try out out and further prove it I would appreciate it!

I just want to help the AC:NL community that's all!

It's simply saying:

1. Load onto character and walk around town.
- If the mover pings you, reset without saving.

2. Have a non-moving villager ping you.
- If it's not PWP, reset and try again.

3. Rinse and repeat until you get PWP.
- Remember to save each time you get PWP pings.

THIS
This is EXACTLY what I was trying to say but you said it 100x much better!!

Ok wait, are you saying that you can get more than one pwp a day with this or?

Yes you can get more than 1 PwP suggestion per day with this and it is WAY less time consuming than the diving trick

Wow, that's WAY better than the diving trick!! the diving trick takes me an hour and over. I could just go in the ocean for 5mins and get a billion pings. xD

ty so much! Maybe I'll get the Wisteria Trellis this way.

I think I see where you are going with this but it's still a pain in the butt. I'm not that desperate for PWPs just yet! Hopefully it will helps others though! :)

I am going to try this... Will report back on how it goes. But somone explain to me, why is it essential that i need to wait for the moving ping? My head is spinning...

Okay. I get it now.

What if no one pings?

Okay. I get it now.

What if no one pings?
I got back home just in time, it seems. *was out for church and new year party* xD

I never tried it myself, so I don't know. Maybe reset and try again if you don't want to dive around in the ocean for 5min.

Ok I think I understand a little more now. I'll try it myself and let you know how it goes and what I do exactly to see if I get it right

I'm going to sound confusing but...
Because the game is programmed to have someone PING to you on the day someone will ask you to move.
But if the villager is inside their house or in the plaza, someone else will ping to you about something else.
PwPs, name changes, catchphrase changes, random dialogue, etc.

Okay. I get it now.

What if no one pings?

Then there isn't a mover in your town on that day because it's 100% guaranteed that someone will PING you about something.
Not necessarily PwP's but about something else. Make sure to be around a villager for a good 5 seconds.

Thanks I appreciate it! :)

A better way if nobody is moving: Do the wetsuit trick, but only once. Someone will ping you and then you can continue on :)

I had no clue what you were trying to say, so I'm glad someone shortened the post and made a bit more sense out of it xD Thanks for introducing it though. I'd suggest next time to try to make the post a bit shorter and leave out certain details, because it was really jumbled up and confusing.

Sorry I was really excited when typing that whole thing up because I found a way that wasn't as tedious as the diving trick..

But the thing is, as soon as you get your PwP with the thing you suggested, you have to do the diving trick again.

At least in the way I discovered you can keep doing it as long as the person is in queue to move.

So here's what I did... Loaded my game up and Nan wanted to move. So I quit without saving and ran around everyone else in my town and no one pinged. Also found some people inside so maybe one of them would ask but they're not outside. I'm still avoiding Nan atm, but I don't know if I should quit and not save and run through my town again or keep going or what the next step is haha

Yes like 40% of the time the mover will ping you and it will always be about moving
the other 60% is other villagers

yes quit and don't save when the person pings you to move

I think what this method is getting at is that while someone else is in the process of moving, none of the villagers will ping you to move out (for the most part, at least). This means that if a villager is moving out, most of the other pings you'd get would be non-moving pings. If the game wants to force a villager to ping, they'll have to ping you about PWPs, greetings, and other things like that because they can't ask you to move.

However, I don't think this method is actually universal. It's probably random.

I'm not sure how it's even possible to get multiple PWPs in one day since I'm pretty sure the game has a limit of one villager-request PWP per day, unless you're TTing or resetting a lot.

Even if there's a slight increase, I don't think this is worth the risk unless you're moving out a villager you want to move out. Also, saving during pings will interrupt that ping and when you reload, they won't be pinging you immediately about the same thing. The time you'd be spending reloading and getting villagers to ping over the span of days takes a lot more time than just trapping a villager of the personality type that requests the PWP you want, then being in the water for five minutes and going back to that villager. The diving method requires less active effort on your part than resetting does, because at least you can multitask while you wait for the timer to ring.

The game is programmed to have a villager PING you to move out every 4-6 days.

This isn't true. Villagers can ping you to move as frequently as every 2 days.
