Purchases you regret

I think that for me it's mostly subscription/membership services, video games, and microtransactions.

Some of my biggest subscription/membership regrets are:
Discord Nitro, given that I no longer belong to any servers and that I got it for silly perks, it was not worth it in the long run.
Loot Crate, one of those "mystery" subscription boxes targeted at 'geeks'. During the whole year I had that subscription for, I've only kept 2 maybe 3 items... In the future I would probably only get food subscription boxes.
Gym.... I have no words for this, just that I was paying for something I wasn't using.

Videogames I regret purchasing:
Overwatch, I played it once and never touched it again. I remember really liking the cinematographic trailers they were coming out with for the characters, which is what made me purchase the game. Long story short, gameplay was nothing like I had imagined.
Super Mario Party and Mario Kart 8 Delux, I prefer some of the older versions of both of these games. Plus, Mario Kart wasn't as fun as it used to be during my childhood.
I somewhat regret buying both DLCs for Pokémon SW/SH.

As far as microtransactions go, I really regret some of my Genshin Impact spending because I do not play the game anymore. I have one or two others, but GI is definitely the one I regret the most.

Buying my EX an expensive anime series (It was some popular action series, I think) like 100+ dollars for the first two seasons box set for Christmas,

But then he aparently already had it on Crunchyroll, and didn't WANT a real 100+ dollar box set!!. He thought it was FUNNY that I spent that much on an anime series!!

Your gonna take an expensive prescription over a real set! He didn't even take it! He said I should keep, and watch it so It doesnt go to waste! WASTE. AN expensive box set!! How was that a waste! Im not even a huge Otaku! But I would have taken it, and said thank you!

He told me he wanted this series real bad when I asked what he wanted, A BOX SET. But aparently Crunchyroll is waaay better

😡 I was so mad.

Wow, I'm so so so sorry that sounds like the lamest action by a person ever :( I hope you were able to get the money back somehow. Also someone who prefers owning a digital sub over an actual set?? WTF?

I’m pretty sure most of my regrets are food purchases. I spent money on a pack of drinks I didn’t like. I wish they sold them in singular bottles so I could try them. Better yet, do free samples? I guess that would be abused, though. Maybe it’s better they don’t do that, lmao.

My biggest regret is forgetting to cancel an app membership and unexpectedly being charged 80 €.
Relatable.

i rarely buy things without thinking a lot about it with the exception of food. i want to try to spend less money on food because i realized i spend way too much on food for one person who almost never eats out or anything, i just spend so much on energy drinks, soda, expensive snacks (chickpea rice cakes?????? bro why are they double the price of regular rice cakes and why do i buy them?? "MaCroS!!!" but literally it's 11gs of dry carb slab, why does it matter if it has more fibre and protein than a normal rice cake ahhhhhh) and a bunch of **** i don't need. i love going to the grocery store and looking at food and buying a few things and while i don't have money issues due to grocery shopping i would like to spend less in general on it and i should plan my purchases more. i have issues with food and money isn't the number i usually focus on when shopping but i really should because i spend sooo much on food and i don't eat meat or anything exceptionally expensive??? it's just all these drinks and snacks i eat instead of normal, cheap meals. i could be eating beans and pasta or rice for a very low cost but instead i drink an energy drink a day and eat out of season fruit and buy 200 g of fresh spinach for the insane price of 33 SEK (3.5 USD).

most recent big wastes of money have been ice cream and a ton of soda when really i want to drink more water instead of relying on ungodly amounts of zero sugar drinks every day and i never feel good about eating or spending money on ice cream.

flight rising gems, it's so easy to get currency on site that i dont know why i bothered buying it. i should have just bought merch or something.
