Wich kind of horror do you like the most? Psychological or slasher?
To be honest psychological is more stressful and can give you anxiety, rather than watching teenagers getting killed by some crazy psychopath so I often prefer the typical clich? and slasher film. Even though, psychologicals are way better created and their finales are often good.
absolutely psychological. slashers don't bother me at all unless there's a ton of jump scares, but i'm not really phased by blood and gore or whatever. and if they do scare me i tend to forget about it soon. there are some psychological horror films that still creep me out whenever i think about them. i'm struggling to think of that many right now but the orphanage is good.
psychological, definitely. slashers are just weak writing. jump scares are just a surprise, not horror tbh. psychological horror films are actual horror in my opinion. (i thought the tweet someone wrote about this was very interesting so i am basing my thoughts on either films on that)
Psychological definitely. I love slasher films too, so long as they aren't too gory as it can get kinda hard for me to watch if they are, but psychological horror films tend to leave me a lot more scared afterwards. A couple of my favorites are The Sixth Sense and Donnie Darko (maybe more of a thriller but I'd consider it horror too).
I love both, but the psychological ones are usually my fave. Like I watched It Follows not too long ago and that freaking stuck with me for a few weeks after I watched it. All the fun of a ghost movie and a creepy movie and it was just all together weird as hell.
While watching a slasher it's like, oh no, more blood, someone else was killed, how unexpected. Psychological movies usually have a better story line and are more "scary" like in the way they have plot twists and sometimes 'mess' with you. If anyone can recommend some good psychological movies that'd be cool,
