obvi raymond is on another tier as the most expensive but now there is no indication who is in most islands, raymond or marshal. but i feel like, more people would have marshal because he has an amiibo card, no? granted, raymond go for crazy prices but shouldn't that be an indication that not a lot of people who want him can have him? he's currently the most sought after but that is under the context of him & other villagers not having an amiibos.

i think it's impressive that after all these years, even when there are new villagers without amiibo and 2 of them are extremely popular, marshal is still holding on to his popularity. the little marshmallow has social media presence & i can guarantee you that most people who had him in new leaf, still has him or would want him on new horizons.

he would like to be excluded from this narrative that he's a has been. thank you.

I haven’t played since the GC days, but if Marshal is still popular after all these years, I doubt people are going to stop talking about them. Eventually a majority of the people using them as a status symbol will move on to the next big game, the hype will die down, and the amount of posts will slow. At least until the next AC game comes out that is because there is no way AC isn’t going to be treated as one of Nintendo’s heavy hitters after this.

Honestly I thought his house in NL made him look like a slob, and I get that was probably the point of the sloppy furniture, but even so
