PSA: Marshal did NOT fall from grace

Marshal > Raymond, even if I’m not a big fan of either of them. Especially after i found out today that Marshal stole Rods Clothes and put them into his Mini Fridge.

i don't see why it matters at all how popular a villager is. if not being ridiculously in-demand means he's "fallen from grace," then....good?
i get that popularity is exactly what a smug villager would care about, but there's no need to defend him, it's not like he can use the internet

Jk no I really like them both. I like Marshal’s minimal design, and the fact that his career as a designer is canon is rlly cute.
 
They will do an update with a new pink female unicorn and Raymond will fall and Marshal will rise again. But in the moment, the pink female unicorn will reign 🦄

I had a camper the other day and my boy Marshy was pouting about it the entire day thinking I’ll get the camper. Little did he know, it was Graham and I would never. Lol. He gets pretty jelly so I’m happy to know he’s holding his own. I have Marshal for very very sentimental reasons (long story short: he’s my first NL random move in and he ruined my yard plans before plot resetting was a thing and before his popularity soared) and he grew on me because of that and he’s my bestest friend in the world and I WOULD NEVER dream of replacing him with the new famous cat.
 
Not gonna lie, I like both, but after so many discussions about Raymond, so many memes, so much Raymond, I didn't like him that much. Marshal had the same treatment, but his design is so simple that it never gets old, you can spam it as much as you want. I bought his amiibo a couple of days ago :3

We’re Marshal purists. Lol. I remember that day 2 in NL and Marshal was new and I read that plot reserved for Marshal and I was SO SO ready to hate on him since I didn’t have an idea who he was. Then he moved in and wittle guy stole my heart. His house was so close to mine that he practically lived in my house. He kept telling other players in my town I’m his best friend and they should all be jealous of me because he loves me the most (I still have screenshots they sent me of those boooohooooo) AND THERE’S NO WAY NEW FAMOUS HIPSTER CAT CAN TOP THAT. Marshal has my heart and I don’t think he has plans of giving it back anytime soon.

I'm guilty of participating in some of these discussions myself but I have to say, I feel this. They don't all need to be different threads, we could condense all of them into the same one at this point and it would declutter the forums and nothing of value would be lost lol
