I’m sorry this happened to you! Someone stole all my fruit today when I was letting people in for villager crafting so I know firsthand how it feels. I’m glad that I had already harvested my money trees for the day. The best thing to do is give them a negative rating and go on about your business. At least the nice players far outnumber the asswipes in animal crossing!

I'm really sorry this happened to you D: I really hope it doesn't happen again. People need to learn some respect when visiting other islands. It's one of my biggest pet peeves when someone purposely breaks the rules you have for them.
I know what it feels like though, I had someone from discord come to my island for a DIY and they purposely started picking my fruit trees and picking stuff up from the ground that I told them not too pick up.... It was bad. I was disgusted, and didn't open my island to anyone for days after xD.

Now i'm extra careful and I use fencing around stuff I don't want touched.

I had a big giveaway and I had told everyone the items on the BEACHES had no limits, and the DIYs were to take only two, but this one person kept taking loads of DIYs and learning them and continued after I twice politely asked her to stop and that the DIYs were limited to two per person, she continued taking more than two and learning them and I didn't want to kick everyone, so I said "Girl, pls. I will give you bad feedback if you don't stop." After threatening her with bad feedback she stopped and said "Sorry I misunderstood" and thus continued to stay for nearly an hour.
Now here comes the hilarious part, I had two of my friends helping me host the giveaway and I noticed the thief was in the area with the DIYs again and she quickly picked up and ran to where she thought I couldn't see her and learned one more DIY. After that I asked my friends to guard and block the DIY area and only let people who hadn't gotten DIYs in. After a while she tried again to get to the DIY area but then found noticed all the entrances were guarded, and honestly watching her jump rivers, and run the opposite direction the moment she saw my friends guarding the area LOL
I didn't give her bad feedback, but I will no longer allow her to any of my future giveaways! Sometimes people are just jerks, I just think it's weird to steal from a giveaway, like girl I don't care I'm giving this all away for free and I was gonna let ppl take any amount they wanted if she had just waited longer but the moment she stole I was just like... I'll wait for her to leave to tell people to go completely wild LOLOL

Something similar happened to me. One of my friends (that I know in real) was best friends' status. I've known her for two years so I trusted her. She came to my island because I needed help with the layout and some decoration placement. She helped me a little and told me she had to AFK for 5 mins so I said okay and left her where she was (which was a mistake). I went inside my house to craft things for like 10 mins and the next thing I knew she was leaving my island without saying anything. I didn't think much of it until I walked back where we were and everything was gone... lots of nook miles items, crescent moon chair, giant teddy, nova light, lunar rover, and other beach-themed items. I couldn't believe it. She's been to my island countless times and this time she stole from me. She denied it at first then admitted to stealing from me after she called me childish. That irked me but not as much as "chill it's just a (bleep) game..."

I'm sorry that happened to you! But I'm glad you though of opening your inventory so they couldn't leave - I'll do that if I'm ever in the same situation! And I think its basic manners for people to greet the host when they enter an island, especially if they're coming for free. Getting annoyed or sad when they don't greet you doesn't make you sensitive at all, its completely normal

Seriously? I stay away from most social media, personally, so I'm not up to date on the trends, but occasionally my younger sister will send me a meme or a warning that's going around, or things like that. I hadn't heard about this. It's wild to me that anyone would post that and that others would CELEBRATE it. I know my sister in particular won't trade with others (I organize them for her) and won't play with anyone she doesn't already know because she's worried she's going to run into people who think it's funny to mess with each other like this, and it breaks my heart a bit...

wtf im actually kinda mad just reading this. i would've reset just so she couldn't get away with the diys. they'd be better off in someone else's hands. bruhhh.

i read them all and they all described the person as 'friendly and kind' or 'quick trader' and a bunch of thank you's here and there. was legit surprised no one had given any sort of negative feedback
