Pokemon TCG Thread

Anyone play the Pokemon TCG here? Since the 2013 season has just started I figure now's the time to start up this thread. I'm currently sitting on 15 Championship Points which I got from placing 1st at a Battle Road. Only one I've played in too... soooooo.... I feel pretty optimistic starting this season off like that. If anyone else is playing, how are you doing, how's your meta, and what are you playing.

Just a recap, I've only played in 1 BR and got 1st. I've been playing Drakrai/Hydreigon, mostly. Ho-Oh seems to be getting hype here for some reason, but I really doubt it'll do too well. Going to another BR on Saturday, looking for 15 more points.

I don't really play anymore, but I was gonna go help out at a BR later this month. It'll be my first event since becoming a Professor.

God, I run way to many events haha. I hate judging BRs cause they feel like such a waste. Especially now since there isn't a top cut.

IKR? I am really skilled at making strategies, it just won't work out.

I do plan on getting the tins soon, so I can join the leagues/tourneys/BRs.

I mean, if you don't play within the meta-game it'll be hard for you to bet meta decks. I see so many players that try to play "creative" decks and just flat out lose. Then they get mad because they don't understand that you have to play within the meta-game to win.

I plan on joining the Regionals 2012 on Oct 14. Hope I will then get accepted to Nationals (then World Championships.). I play the VGs a ton more than TCG.

Well, the invite is more organized. You get an invite not just for winning, but how well you would do in the Champs.

In TCG you get an invite just for playing in events. Granted there are 100's more, but still.
