Plot Resetting isn't working? (with update)

So I'm well aware of how plot resetting works, so I haven't loaded or saved.

I scanned a Lobo amiibo card and every time I load up the game, his plot is in the same unfavorable place.
At first I had thought I messed up and accidentally loaded my mayor, but he's moved his plot to one other location about 3 times. I've looked it up and saw the info about "seeds", so I turned off my system to reset. But it's the same thing.

I was under the impression plot resetting would move their house to different spots around town... But it's consistently been this one plot.
I had 2 great spots for him to move into and was willing to reset until he got close to them, but he isn't moving anywhere else.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Plot resetting does still work, but it is much harder now. I plot reset Wolf Link, and he tried plotting in the same spot 80% of the time. Maybe more. :/ He did eventually choose a new spot though. Just be persistent.

Oh no, he'll move in other places. The only reason why you don't think it works is because I believe when you plot reset amiibo villagers. The places they plot will be in the spot that he'll move there 60% of the time. Keep trying.

I've been plot resetting Ganon and he kept plotting right beside my mayor's house.

Sometimes they're stubborn, but they WILL eventually move to a new spot.

I've also heard rumors that the villagers won't now down QR paths, making it possible to "guide" them to certain areas. I have yet to test this out myself, but I hope it's true and hopefully someone can clarify one way or the other.

So the amiibo villagers sort of pick a particular spot? That's so much more frustrating D:
I'll keep at it then. Maybe one of these loads he'll try something else.

Do villagers from camping or streetpass do the same?

With the new update plot resetting as a whole is harder but they will move.

Plot resetting worked fine for a random move-in I got, though they seemed to prefer a certain area (but they also did before the update). He did move to another area eventually.
Tomorrow I will plot reset Epona, currently lying down some paths to hopefully prevent a plot on my walking route, I'll update if I get some result from that.

I suppose luck just isn't on my side then, haha. I've been plot resetting for a few hours now and nothing's changed >_>

villagers dont plot on paths anymore. maybe thats the problem? if you have a lot of paths, he doesnt have enough choices.

That's super cool info! I'm definitely gonna put down some more paths once I'm through with this.

But that's not the issue unfortunately. Since I've started plot resetting, about 4 times he's moved to one other plot, and I've left other spaces available. It's just that 99% of the time it's the same spot - which is super weird...

you could go back to yesterday and put some paths down (especially the spot he chooses now)
