I know this sounds weird, but I only know her from The Flight of the Navigator (when I was 8 years old she was the older beauty!!) and Mars Attacks! Most people are fans of Sarah Jessica Parker because of S and the City, but my mom is a fan because of Square Pegs. Basically, it's a sitcom about two nerdy girls who struggle to fit in with others. It sounds relatable, and I'm surprised it only lasted one season.
I mostly knew her from Hocus Pocus. There’s a sequel (which is just OK), and now they’re making a third one.I know this sounds weird, but I only know her from The Flight of the Navigator (as an 8 year old she was the older beauty!!) and Mars Attacks!
So you tried it and like it now? I've had games like that where I thought I wasn't going to care for it and or the huge hype pushed me away from whatever it was. Also games that got a lot of popular hate I found myself actually liking. Like I don't find any of the Paper Mario games after Thousand Year Door horrible. I've genuinely had a lot of fun with them. I enjoyed the slapstick humor in Color Splash and Origami King had the right amount of humor and seriousness to balance it out.i did not care for stardew valley

Ugh, I hate this ugly truth, but I have seen it quite a few times. Sometimes in a board game, but other times in real life too. When the economy is going strong, being rich is meaningful because you can basically get what you want. But in dire situations, being rich is meaningless.
While the poor are hit the hardest during a recession, the rich will still face hardships. Here are some examples:Ugh, I hate this ugly truth, but I have seen it quite a few times. Sometimes in a board game, but other times in real life too.
In dire situations, the rich can and do offer low sums, below market value, for stuff (say land where a neighborhood turned into toothpicks and flooded) because of the desperation of the hurting. It is summed up as, it is better than nothing or you don't have much left to lose or what you have isn't benefitting you or you will lose it anyway. It is described as a business offer or a deal or even to help you out.
The rich (whether they are individual people or not) spend when the economy isn't doing good or an area is dealing with tragedy or when an individual isn't doing well financially/in a situation for the sole purpose of making bank later.
Maybe I feel saltier about it than I should.. because in some circumstances it can give the hurting a slight step in a better direction or in a direction away from a bad chapter... But still more often than not, it's not.
Usually rich people have investments in multiple types of assets. Also they move between countries with ease or even have money in different banks across the earth. Most rich people live off of the interest of their savings accounts so they aren't actually losing money that much. While the poor are hit the hardest during a recession, the rich will still face hardships. Here are some examples:
- When prices of everything go up, including bills, groceries, and loans, the rich will be taking an axe on their savings. Since they already spend more than others, they’ll be spending even more because of inflation.
- If they’re rich because they run a business (like a shop or restaurant), they’ll bring in less money because when everyone else is running out of money, they’ll be spending less. The first thing to go are luxuries and entertainment, and restaurants and shops are among these places. Less customers means less income, and when they have to pay the same every month to manage both their businesses and their homes, the margins will shrink until it goes into the negatives.
- When the economy goes down, many stores and other places close. The rich will have the money to get what they want, but they won’t have anything to spend it on. For instance, if food becomes scarce, even they will have less food. If you have nothing that you can spend your money on, it becomes meaningless.
If you mean a literal event that the staff is hosting, then no. People are just giving their opinions on (recent) things that have happened on the site and feedback on how staff can improve and change to make sure they don’t happen again. Is there an event going on at the moment?
I did mean a literal event. Someone is gifting me items, and I have no idea why. I thought it was part of an official event going on. I believe it may be for another reason though...If you mean a literal event that the staff is hosting, then no. Ohhhh okay then I have no idea. What are you being gifted (don’t expect an immediate response since I’m about to go to sleep)?I did mean a literal event.
