Is there any perfect fruit in new horizons? I haven't seen any and was just wondering if there is, or just isn't

if i'm correct it was confirmed that they aren't in the game by dataminers

One of the first things I tried in game was burying fruit in a gold spot, instead of bells, to see if they'd put perfect fruit in the game sneakishly this way.

This is an unpopular opinion, but to me it’s not a big deal they cut it.
Sure I was surprised at first, but all it really is is a slight recolor of one fruit. If we could get all five types in different colors it’d be cool, but I never really liked that it was limited to just one. I never made my money by selling them either, so the loss is barely noticeable to me.
What does bother me is the lack of Island fruits—I do hope they’ll be back in an update soon!
Edit: just realized calling them “exotic fruits” doesn’t make sense considering they’re not really exotic depending on where you’re from.

I concur.
I wasn't surprised it was cut because it didn't seem like an especially amazing feature or anything. On my first town on New Leaf, I even sold the perfect fruit and didn't even know they meant anything until I restarted my town three months in!
My main complaint is the same as yours. You'd think they'd keep all the interesting new fruits, and even add more, but I was disappointed that not even the bananas came back.

It’s possible that they might be added in once farming is introduced, along with new exotic fruits, but who knows.

You know what I had forgotten about those fruits (Plus lemon????) before I had gone onto my New Leaf game to see how different New Horizons is (Jeez I don't remember New Leaf looking so...pixely lol)

Haha I feel exactly the same about the durian. I’ve never tried one so the potential weird smell/flavor isn’t the issue—they’re just not that nice to look at.

Lemons are some of my favorite fruits in real life (only behind the almighty passion fruit, mangos, bananas and papaya).

Once again, we're of the exact same opinion lmao. I really could not bring myself to care about the perfect fruits whatsoever, but I was a little sad that we only have one variation of palm tree fruit. I want bananas back. ; ^ ;
