For a while now, my computer has been going into panic mode. This started around the end of last year. It rarely happens, but it's doing it more frequently now. The only thing out of the ordinary is the error message I get at the start-up having to do with a printer connection malfunction. To see if anything changes, I've bumped up my firewall a bit.

Any suggestions?

The apple support was no help. I'm running a 2.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo iMac Leopard, if that helps.

Is that a Mac thing?
Figure of Speech.

I looked at the diagnostics and the reports. As well as checking my firewall log. On my firewall log, I get this "*insert random letters here* is listening* then it gives the IP. But there are only three different "listeners". I think it might just be the sites I visit. Like TBT, FB, etc.

The diagnostics said they detected something wrong and "panicked", shutting the computer down.

And @Schnookumnookum: Why the hell would I downgrade my computer to a PC?

Downgrade to the PC?

Excuse me, but we're the ones with working PCs and you're the one with the broken Mac.

As for your problem, I'd suggest doing some virus scans as it seems the reason your computer constantly crashes is probably due to a virus.

why can't I ever find the right pictures. :(

I found out what it is.

Hacker problem. :X

But, when the computer gets wind of someone trying to break in, it shuts down all connections. So, I'm testing my new firewalls. If that doesn't work, I'm gonna crack down harder.

Change your username and password and that is a easy way to go online, especially if you have a static IP.

Look at your software. Anything suspicious means you are probably getting keylogged. (Probably why you got hacked.)

And the best thing to do would be to save your files and do a clean install (erase everything and reinstall what you want).

For viruses, there are not any known ones at this time (at least that can cause trouble without your intervention). I doubt that is the case. There was something with iChat a few years ago though, but if you're up to date, it cannot be the case.
