So I saw this image on tumblr and it really annoyed me

So questions,

Would you want a town like this?
If yes, why?
How would you do this?

I wouldn't want a town like this because your villagers don't have free space around their house and they have to live so close together.
I like when a few villagers (like 2 or 3) live close to each other and have conversations in the morning but having all of your villagers side by side like this really takes away from the game.

I've only plot reset once because the day before getting Kyle, I put out some hybrids on the grass and I didn't want them to get run over. Also, Maple moved out a few days before, so I wanted to put Kyle's house where her house was so that I wouldn't have to re-build my paths.

Do you think this is a nice town map or an odd town map.

This is a hacked map. Houses won't plot that close together and there are no little islands in animal crossing maps. I like the little island, but I don't like all the villagers down there together.

I don't really like it, reminds me of a suburb. I always have at least 3 or 4 possible locations where I accept a villager to plot. I think trying to get them in one specific spot is too tedious. All my guys are scattered across my town, mostly because I didn't plot reset for 90% of them. But they're all in decent spots.

I wouldn't want a town map like this. It feels extremely unnatural.

The concept is nice, but the execution is kinda disgusting to me.

I want to get the dream address to this map, just to see what it actually looks like.

But yea, I agree it's unnatural.

That nice open area looks nice, but the house-placements are cringe-worthy. The "personal island for house" thing they've got going on seems nice, but it sorta makes next-door neighbors impossible, which can be fun or pleasant =/ And it feels so isolated.

The map's main area *might* be nice for the "foresty" feel of sorts, or even a flower plains maybe, but the villagers crammed in the corner like that? That would drive me nuts. @~@; I like my villagers' houses somewhat spread out, maybe with some of them somewhat close together, but not like that. If I were going for a "forest" town, I'd want some buildings in the mix of trees, not a forest and then a line of villagers down in the corner.

Not my idea of a map, be it possible or not.

I miss the little islands you could get in ww a lot, so I like that except that it's not attached to the river so it's kinda weird. Definitely a hacked town, and personally I don't understand the point. As much as I would love an island I wouldn't want to go through all of that, it seems pointless to me. The couple of hacked dreams I've visited aren't even that great, mostly just bizzarre and annoying to navigate, and aren't even that pretty.

Everyone else has said pretty much what I would say. I like the large landmass, and the personal isle for the player house, but it doesn't feel right. I'd use the eastern island for an orchard. The villager buildings need to be peppered all over. I'd probably use the southern island for the caf? and an artsy PWP or two... but the whole point of AC is living together, which only the villagers can really accomplish on that map -- to the point of suffocating each other. :/

I don't like it. Everything looks too crowded together. Even with the house on the island, you probably couldn't decorate it with anything more than 1x1 or 2x1 PWPs. It just doesn't look efficient having to travel all across town from your house to the villagers or retail to the beach.

I tend to dislike overly hacked town maps, just because I prefer fully natural towns (I also can't hack, so it's kind of like, grrrr). Though some of the subtle hacks can look really nice.

I tend to favor maps that have most villager houses set in rows, though, because I think it looks so organized and neat. Ultimately, though, this is their town and if they can hack to make it look how they want it to, all power to them, no matter what anyone else thinks of it.

That looks like a massively boring town. I like having my villagers' houses close, but not that close.

Well, it's fake, but I wouldn't want a town like that. I don't like how close together they are. Though, I do like the player house all by itself. I would really quite like that. Other than that, I wouldn't want my town like that. I don't generally plot reset...I have a few times, but I would go extreme like that. I could only imagine how much time it would take just to get your villagers to line up perfectly in a row.

I would be fine with it if the villager houses weren't so packed together. The solo house on the island is pretty tacky too. If anything, I would put a PWP on that island.

The river annoys me the most. Just because it's not connected and the little islands are meh.
Only thing I like is that there's no pond by the retail.
Everything pretty much gives it away that this is fake.

However I do have a whole area of dreamies together, not in a straight line though.

Looks like one of those gated communities. Pretty funny, actually.

As doggaroo said, this is a hacked map. If it were a real map, I wouldn't like it. I like to open space and islands, but the houses are too close together.

agh I hate maps like this! it is ok but I hate the island house! and the puddles, other than that I think it is ok :3
although I like having maps that are not perfect, what is the point on having a perfect map!?

I don't like it. I hate how all the villager houses are so close together, I don't like how the house is so isolated away from everyone in the town and I'm not a fan of the overall placement of the important buildings.

I personally really like it, as it's clean. I spent quite a bit of time getting a nice town map, so I guess it matters to some people.

The map is hacked. I actually would really like the map, if the villager houses were spaced out a bit more. Otherwise, it's a really good map. That's why it's hacked.
