Nintendo should give us the ability to show our characters using items too.

I'm sure that everyone has noticed how all the villagers have the ability to carry a random item in their hand like a doughnut, soda cup, etc. These items also have their own animations, that usually will shows the character either eating the item or using the item.

It would be really cool to see Nintendo bring that to our characters as well. It would be nice if we could pick up items like the ones that our villagers are holding and just run around with them in our hands. Then as soon as we stop, our characters could have an animation that shows us eating the item, or using the items like the villagers. It would be such a cute feature for taking screenshots.

It would also be nice if we could get these items by interacting with furniture items. For example, if you craft a pizza and then display it on a table, when you interact with the pizza your character will hold a slice of pizza in its hand and eat it when not moving. Or if you craft a coffee brewer, your character could interact with it to pick up a coffee cup and take sips from it when they are not moving. When your character is running or walking it could also show the character holding the item in its hand.

Like the others above me said - I'm also pretty certain New Horizons will expand on what New Leaf had to offer, in terms of items you can carry around with you and consume. But I have to say, I really love the idea of simply interacting with a food furniture, like a pizza box or donut box to obtain a slice of pizza, donut (or whatever) that you can carry around with you and munch on--even better if New Horizons adds a mini shop or broadens the options for Brewster's cafe allowing you to also buy food.
