Nintendo giving white Christmas tree?

Just got a nice surprise from Nintendo, a white Christmas tree plus 15 meow coupons. I was wondering from where those mysterious Christmas trees came from... (I guess we can get them from Harvey too?)
Well anyway now I have 4 of them (thanks to side characters)

What do you mean by mysterious Christmas trees? Do you mean the ones that people were selling before the new giveaway? They were first released early December in Japan so its possible they got them from Japanese players. But most likely they just cheated for the item.

I'm in the UK - have been checking the last few days in the hope it (or something) would appear here - sadly not as yet & I am set up for spotpass/connected (if it was via Pete at the door, it is spotpass) - I live in hope! Will keep checking.
Come on Nintendo - its Christmas!

I also got the letter with the gift today from Pete for my mayor as well as my alt characters so I have three white festive tree now and 15 meow coupons for each character.

We can order them from game, but they treat their international customers awfully and canceled my order. and I know others have had trouble with them as well. The only other option would be to buy them on ebay at an over-inflated price.
