New leafs IRL

I was at the store the other day and I realized I recognized lots of plants because of ACNL! They had dracaena, pothos, corn plant, coconut palm, and snake plant. I wound up taking home a dracaena, mostly out of sentiment for the game.

Similarly, the other day I was wearing an outfit IRL that I realized my character was also wearing - just a weird coincidence that made me wonder if it wouldn?t be fun to take a photo. But I didn?t lol.

Has anyone else noticed funny moments like that, where the things you are used to associating with the game pop up in real life?

I love it when I can recognize fishes or beetles because I know them from the game!
It may be a silly thing but it's so sweet when something reminds you of your small animal town<3

I remember this one time we went to an aquarium, and they had an arapaima on display. Boy did I nerd out with my siblings on it. :'> Back in they day on GC, they were as common as Dorado in NL.

It is educational! Haha! As for emojis, I wasn't sure if it would work but I made the post from my phone so idk. Sorry about the sideways photo, it wasn't sideways on my phone!

I love when coincidences like these happen. It definitely makes me chuckle. I’ve learned a lot from animal crossing and I really enjoy being able to identify certain plants, fish, bugs, and sea creatures

I love fishing shows, and the Arapaima has become my favorite fish.

It's great to see it in the AC games.

i was reading a world records book some months ago, and one page had some of the valuable island beetles (gold stag, horned hercules, etc) in it. i've also seen a lot of common butterflies around!

Honestly I’m able to recognize so many fish and bugs because of New Leaf. It’s kinda funny to act like I’m smart when really I just play a game too much.

I recognize bugs and fish from Animal Crossing all the time in real life. My dad and grandpa love fishing shows, so many times I'll recognize the fish on the shows from the game.
