I've been trying to TT my last nonthemed villager out so I can move Julian in, but it's made me a nervous wreck. I'm so worried that one of other nine will be lost in a TT accident and I'd have to 16 cycle to get them back. When I woke up this morning I decided that this was ridiculous.
The game isn't fun when I play it this way. All work on my town has stopped because I'm only talking to the villagers, diving to get the villagers to talk to me or frantically visiting each villager in hopes that someone will give me a heads up on a move out.
I'm setting my date and hour back to the correct time. I'm fortunate to have another copy of the game, a DL version on the DS and I'm going to move Julian in there. If I lose any of the villagers on that game it won't be such a tragedy. This way I can continue to develop Haven and wait patiently for Agent S to decide to move.
I guess that's a drawback to building a town centered on a theme. With villagers that have been chosen to work within the theme you lose the flexibility that comes from playing the game naturally. The challenge is fun, and when something works it's brilliant and you feel that you've accomplished something; however, when you're waiting for a ping everything grinds to a halt.
I really hope I'm making the right decision.
