Natural Paths or Pattern Paths?

Do you prefer natural paths or pattern paths? I'm trying to decide what to do with my town I love natural paths beacuse they're so cute and it feels more naturey, like it's animal crossing come on, it should be naturey haha. And I also like the footprints the characters leave when running around its so cute omg <3 Especially since my mayor is usually always barefoot haha. Pattern paths on the other hand are really cute too and they add a little more unique touch to your town, especially if you're using an unpopular path... Idk what do you like best? Not many people have natural paths, but they take SO LONG to make omg

Why not both? Maybe have pattern paths for your main roads and natural around foresty areas. That's what I'm thinking of doing c:

To be fair, you can totally find nature themed patterned paths.
I personally like patterned paths because they are more versatile, plus you don't need to maintain them like natural paths. Heck, even the mixture of the two look nice. Like anything else though they can be done poorly. I'm not a fan of fake grass, fake flower, or fake water paths because they look so unnatural. But to each their own.

Exactly as Jessicat said - why not both? Lots of time I use both and when I have an area that is more park-like I like a path leading to it and then I leave it more natural once there to escape the "city" feel.

Overall, tho, I love tiles and patterns. Still, natural is best, imo, for certain areas or themes. In one time I have an Egyptian-like area and other than lots of yellow and gold flowers I have very few tiles. I want it to look older and less structured than the rest of my town.

I've always preferred pattern paths, but I recently saw pictures on Tumblr of someone whose town had all natural paths and they looked amazing.

I use pattern paths but not excessively since its a bother when you're trying to shake down your trees for fruit (the fruits disappear). I voted for pattern paths but I think a mix of both would be good.

I have pattern paths because natural paths take too much dedication. If natrual paths were easier to make, I would have those.

I like them both. My town has natural paths, but I have patterns for my plaza/pavement areas.

I personally prefer pattern paths. I feel like before I laid my paths out I was running everywhere and I had no sense of path placement so grass wear was a big issue, patterns just work better for me.

I am currently using a stone x clover path to some of my villagers houses where pattern paths don't look so nice as well.

If i had more patience for them, I would say pattern paths.
I have done natural paths, hedges, and fruit tree lanes. And I love them.

I find that pattern paths take a lot less time than natural paths, so I'll have to go with pattern paths. Plus I love a stone tile design I found too much.

My town is half and half. I use QR paths on the towny side, and a dirt path on the forest side.

I like pattern paths, but the pattern paths that I usually like are 4320523 pieces, and I personally, am too lazy for that ****, so I'd never do that

on the other hand, I like the natural dirt paths (I kinda liked them in CF, and they look 10x better in NL so..) but I dont really use all the pieces of the path in my town, so there'd be like dirt paths in some places, and then grass paths in other places

So tbh it really depends for me, i like them both so i guess if its done well then I will like either

I've been debating this myself. I'm really thinking of making natural paths and decorating them with lucky clovers. But that would be really expensive and I found lucky clover path tiles online. So I'm really, really torn T.T

I know someone on another forum who has dirt paths with bushes and flowers either side and it looks absolutely gorgeous. It's up to you though. Why not try both and see which one is the best? Or if you like them both, you can always have a few dirt paths and a few patterned paths!
