Pattern Paths because I'm too lazy to run in my town and keep natural dirt paths. Shame though cause they can look really good!

Pattern paths, I dislike the way natural paths look in New Leaf. In previous games I thought they looked quite pretty.

I actually couldn't decide between the two. I ended up deciding to change my paths every month. I decide on a specific color/theme I want my paths to look like and give my town a whole new feel each month. It helps keep things interesting.

I used to like Natural Paths (City Folk?) but the way it's gone from cutesy-dirt to not-so-cutesy-mud makes me want pattern paths in New Leaf now :(

Pattern paths. They're cute and easy to change if you don't like the one you have. Plus, I don't really like the dirt looks in New Leaf.

I love the pattern I have everywhere. I love that I can run on it too, without worrying about the grass wear. Also, it just gives you a whole new level of customization to play around with.

I have been to towns that are natural though, and I love that too. It's a breath of fresh air sometimes, so I see the beauty in it being natural and forest-y. If the grass wear wasn't a thing, I would consider no paths, but not for me, not in my town, because I can't walk anywhere, and even with walking I do it too much to not effect the grass.

I like a mix of both. Huge sprawling patterns that cover all of your grass really bother me. But I also think that towns look a little barren with no patterns at all. Unless a lot of time and effort is put into creating shrub and tree paths, which always look amazing.

I kind of went with the in-between here and have a natural looking patterned path. It's not dirt looking, but it's mossy bricks. and for my wooded areas, I have a wooden path. my town is coming together nicely

I wouldn't like to have natural paths mainly because of the dirt wear! It could spread all over! ; _ ; I don't like it when my town is all dirty and messy, Patern Paths are so much easier and neater! It may take some work find the "perfect path" and setting it up around town but overall I think it is wayyyy better then the natural path, in my opinion!

I voted for natural paths. I think that they look really pretty, and they definitely help with the whole perfect town rating thing. Granted, I know that pattern paths are also really nice. But I'm not very big on putting them down correctly and having everything all nice and detailed with patterns... it almost seems like while it's harder in that it takes more time to make natural paths, in the end, it's easier to maintain because if you want to do something that alters a path, you can easily add/reduce flowers or bushes in certain parts, whereas coming up with the right curve and everything on a pattern path might be a hassle.

I like the natural pathways but don't have them in my town.
Visited someone town in a dream and his natural pathway were well done.
I picked pattern pathways so I didn't have to deal with villagers planting flowers.

I'm mostly indifferent to patterns, but I really dislike if they cover most of the town, and even more when there's fake pattern grass. I can never have patterns because I can't ever seem to make it feel right, though.

natural goes better with my town theme. they're a pain to do rn since it's raining a lot lately.

Is it even possible to do natural paths in New Leaf throughout your whole town and get them to be exactly where you want them? Grass wear seems so unpredictable to be, I could swear it happens even on squares that I never even walk on and I've never achieved regrowth by planting flowers like I could in City Folk.

Pattern since natural is something less controllable. Natural paths are good though with certain town themes but I prefer pattern with mine since the grass wear in my town is beyond salvation.

I like a mix of both, for me the patterns help establish a structure. Most of my paths are natural and then the small, twisty ones are rock patterns because I just feel like they keep them neat and tidy. The only problem with natural paths is that they do need upkeep, I once accidentally went forward a month and all of my natural paths were gone, I'm still working on getting them back how they were. Worth it though, they're so pretty :)

I kinda compromise? I like a more defined and controlled path than traditional natural paths... so I like grassy/moldy (sounds gross but w/e) stone paths with clover tiles worked in (North is the best example I can think of and so inspiring omg)

UGH North is so perfect :')

My town is all natural paths and I love it, it doesn't take much to maintain them - but then again I don't time travel or anything so it takes ages for grass to re-grow! I like patterns and sometimes put them in just to give my town a new look, but I hate pattern grass, water, steps etc they're amazingly designed but I just think they look wrong in the town...
