Natural Paths or Pattern Paths?

I didn't vote, but I have both. I did a pattern path for the main areas, and the natural paths (which I'm still working on) for everything that branches out.

I've seen examples of gorgeous patterned paths, but I can't seem to get a similar look in my town. Probably don't have the patience. 
My first town (Salem) was a little more modern, in that I put street lights and some illumination, so I finally found a simple pattern and ran paths all over, bordered by flowers and bushes. My new town (Hollowyn) is very much a rural, forest town. I'm thinking of keeping it to natural paths, also lined by flowers and bushes, probably one space wide to keep it simple-looking, and might place some mossy stones around a few PWPs, if it warrents.

To be fair, you can totally find nature themed patterned paths.
I personally like patterned paths because they are more versatile, plus you don't need to maintain them like natural paths. Heck, even the mixture of the two look nice. Like anything else though they can be done poorly. I'm not a fan of fake grass, fake flower, or fake water paths because they look so unnatural. But to each their own.
My feelings exactly, I am working on a stone and dirt patterned path so it blends nicely with the nature but also doesn't dissapear when i don't run on it a million times a day. AINT NOBODY GOT TIME FOR THAT! I say that in the most endearing way possible, because i am jealous of dirt paths, i love them but no way am i dealing with that.
Pattern paths. They allow you to customize your town more suiting to your personality. For example, my town is cosmic themed and I love outer space. My paths are starry and beautiful like the night sky. They make your town very unique.

While I prefer natural paths, I know they'll be impossible for me to consistently maintain so I stick to some natural-looking brick pattern pathways in my town.
