My DS Lite is slowly dying.

It flickers whenever I start it up.

There are constant problems with the screen during gameplay.

The down button needs to be pushed down harder than the others.

The stylus slot won't keep the stylus in it.

Time for a new DS Lite ... or a DSi ...

if you got GBA games get a DS lite, if not, get a DSi

That sucks . I would get a DSi if you have a GBA. If you don't then another DS Lite might work for you.

I've had my old original gray DS every since it came out, and it still works fine for me. It's a shame about your DSi though. I'd suggest staying with it. It's better to just work through these minor annoyances then to fork over $200 to buy a new one.

This. I still use my DS Phat, It fell like 10 times and it still works like a charm.

You got some luck right there. Back in 07 I had my DS Phat which fell to the ground and ripped the screen right off.

Yeah, I had my ds phat until the earlier part of 08, then I got pissed for some reason or another and broke the thing in half :veryhappy:

1st one , the thing slowly broke in half over time
2nd one...my bro's bully broke it back in 8th grade
3rd one finally is decent, just the Lbutton is acting funky

The Ds's are kinda made cheap, hopefully the DSi is much stronger

i've had my blue ds phat since it came out. the touch screen works kinda flukey but it's fine. the day before DSi came out (april 4th) waiting in anticipation, i dropped it and the hinge broke. my warranty expired so my grandfather looked at it. he's a mechanic/ engineer. he fixed it so the hinge doesn't flop when you're trying to play it. Stil works to this day.

I'd say, get a new/used DS (original, lite, or DSi.) and hope that it works.

it depends if the warranty expired yet. they would charge you to fix it if it expired. your best bet is to just invest in a new one ( i woould recomend a DSi)
