My biggest disappointment here is I want a Splatoon Squidgirl when the game comes out.
However, Nintendo are good at lying without lying (Or atleast changing their mind a lot, - remember their statements of no clone characters for both Brawl and Sm4sh, and having no intention of bringing out new 3DS's after the XL?).
The statement is they're not currently working on any DLC, not that there isn't going to be any. After all they weren't working on Mario Kart 8 DLC the days before it released, it was all created after then.
I may be confused, but didn't they say at E3 2012 that they weren't going to remodel the 3DS anytime soon and then announced the XL a month later? I'm not sure if they did that for the 2DS, but if that had been said while they were in Japan they would have been correct anyway, since only NTSC and PAL regions got the 2DS, not NTSC-J.
But the fact that they said they aren't currently working on DLC basically proves this entire thread is useless. This supposed leaked DLC could only be possible if they were actually working on DLC before the interview took place.

I suppose there's no need since they've pretty much confirmed that there will be no DLC, but I wouldn't take their word for it.

You guys need to take into consideration that how representatives at Nintendo had been denying the existence of a Majoras mask remake for years.
Since the reveal, I've decided never to take direct quotes from workers 100% seriously.
Mewtwo will be available through a direct purchase AND if you own both copies of smash bros (+1 for the soundtrack bonus)
They haven't confirmed that there WILL or WON'T be future DLC. They've simply stated that there are no current future plans to bring other characters into the game via DLC.

Actually they never said there was/wasn't a remake in the works, they just said they were aware of the demand from fans. That's not confirming or denying that they're working on it, just acknowledging the people asking for it.

The XL was released on July 27th 2012, a month and a half after they said this. It also refers to it as "redesign", and seeing as the XL was just a larger version of the regular 3DS (hence not redesigned), they were technically not lying here.

Even if we are discounting the 2DS for not coming out in Japan, Nintendo have stressed the new 3DS isn't to be take as a new generation and is just an improved 3DS. So that 3 times the console they weren't going to keep re releasing has been redone. They do have a habit of denying all knowledge of development until they want it announced.
But yeah, I imagine we'll only know for sure after Mewtwo releases. Give it a couple of months for them to see how Mewtwo goes down (obviously well) and then they'll probably announce something. Until then it's all fake. ~ and there will probably be a load of attemted fakes of people saying they found stuff in the data now they have copies of the game.
