Making a one species only town on ACNL, opinions needed!

So I've decided to turn my second town into a one species only, but the problem is... I can't decide on which animal type.

I'm considering:

Koalas
Ducks
Rabbits
Monkeys

Which do you think?

I accidentally put rabbits twice on the poll, is there a way to fix this...?

I'm going to list the options you gave, starting from worst to best:

Monkeys: Since there are only 8 monkeys in New Leaf, you will have to constantly deal with another species moving into your town. That might get annoying very fast. There are also no smug monkeys if that personality appeals to you. I suppose you could make it work, but you would probably have to add a couple gorillas (which wouldn't be a single species town anymore).

Koalas: Better than the monkeys, but still only has 9 villagers. With that amount, as long as you don't pick up villagers from anyone's void, you will not have to deal with move-ins. I do not believe there are peppy koalas in New Leaf if you like that personality.

Rabbits/Ducks: I'm putting these equally because they are both very good choices, and which one you choose really comes down to personal preference. Both species has over 10 villagers, and they each have a villager in every personality. Personally, I slightly prefer rabbit villagers but that's just my opinion.

I think going with a 10 member species is the smartest choice!

I too would go with either rabbits or ducks. You have some liberty in choosing which villagers you want in your town, and most/all personalities are available which means a lot of diversity in dialogue and public works projects!

I voted for ducks. They're so cute and you don't see them used as often as rabbits. I really like the idea of a koala or monkey themed town as well, but, as others have stated, there either aren't enough villagers or personalities if you don't want to include any other species.

I voted for ducks. There are so many cute ducks, like Joey and Molly, and you could build fountain pwps and things for them to swim in. Paths could be water and plant-based.

I voted for rabbits. Also note that if you are ever going to play Desert Island Escape, you'll be stuck with one species with a particular trait (sleepy is the special ability for rabbits).

Wanted to pointed out that you have Rabbits twice in the poll, Koalas are missing as a option.

I would go with Ducks, since I think it would be nice choice, so I voted for them. Otherwise,
Rabbits would be cool too.

I guess I'm a bit biased because I have a duck town and a town with mostly koalas but I'd go with either one of those species.The ducks are missing the uchi and cranky personalities while the koalas don't have a peppy.Neither species are all that popular(with the exception of Molly and maybe Melba)so you won't have to spend too much tbt or bells if you don't have their Amiibo cards.Here are the DA's to both towns if you wanna visit:

I voted rabbits, but ducks could work too! There seems to be a lot of like-able ones in those species, so I'd imagine it'd be easy to pick ones you'd want.

MapleSilver has also brought up a very good point as to why the other two are problematic.

I'd go with koalas. Even if you don't have ten, you could always put in one or two kangaroos?

I would go with rabbits, it would be perfect timing to arrange the town for an Easter theme in April.
