I know she will pick someone random to move out but does turning off the switch still change who that villager is? There's some villagers I don't want to risk losing, like all my rabbits.

When you are in the tent with her, and still in the dialogue box, you can go to the Home Page and close out the software to load it up again and re-roll who she picks to leave.

as long as you close the game before it auto saves, it’ll choose a different villager to kick out

I literally just did this lol. Yes when you are in the dialogue, if they choose a villager you don’t want to lose, go to the home screen while they are in the dialogue, close the game and it will reset the villager they pick

Just don't advance the dialogue past the mention of the villager they would ask to replace, or else it will autosave.

Yes it worked! I had to reset about 6 times because Lolly kept picking my favourites. There was only 1 villager I wanted gone so I thought that was pretty good odds.
