i currently have marina on my island, but recently i've been thinking about inviting lily to take her place >< i love lily's design (the frogs are all pretty great imo!) and her house and i just think she's so sweet. but i also adore marina so much, she's such a cutie who loves to sing all the time and i think there's a big possibility i'd regret it if i moved her out. i have both of their amiibo cards so i could possibly try lily out for a while and bring marina back if i change my mind, however i don't want to lose the friendship i've built up with marina in the process ;;
what do we think? who do you prefer between the two?
I have both Lily and Marina on my island, and I love both of them, but if I could only keep one of them then I'd keep Lily. However, if you think you'd prefer keeping Marina then maybe you should keep her. Everyone's different~
I voted Lily as well since I have a soft spot for the frog villagers (currently have Raddle and Wart Jr on my island ☺ ). I'm not a huge fan of the octopus villagers and feel like they stand out a bit haha
My vote goes to Lily because I think I would prefer Lily more than Marina.
If you really struggle thinking who you want to get, maybe search around the social media about Lily?
Maybe watch what Lily do on those videos and see whether you like her hobby or not.
I understand it may feel like it will be a different Marina if you use the amiibo later, so just take as much time as you need.
You have both the amiibo cards, so I think maybe you can give yourself more time to think and don't make a rush decision.
Gotta say, despite being a fan of Lily, as you can probably tell by my previous posting... I absolutely agree with xara. If you love Marina so much, you should definitely keep her, no matter what the poll says. You've made it quite clear how much you like her, our comments shouldn't make you feel pressured into chosing the option that you'd probably be less happy with.
I'd personally keep Marina since there are only three Octopus villagers and she's the only girl of the bunch, and that makes her more appealing and interesting than Lily. Lily's not bad, but also not that remarkable to me. But hey, it's not my island, so. I'd say it depends on how strong the desire to move Lily in is; if you feel it to a very significant degree, it will probably bother you until you do it anyway.
Considering you have the amiibo for both, you probably can't go wrong with whatever you decide, and any decision can be reversed if necessary.
I prefer Lily, but I agree with what others have been saying. I think you should keep Marina because you seem to really enjoy having her on your island.
Tricky question, I honestly can't vote because I've been dreaming of getting Marina lately & I'd want her to take Lily's spot on my island! But Lily is so adorable... I have her Amiibo card so once I get her picture, I'll try to get Marina and if I ever miss Lily too much, she can always come back!
I understand why you wouldn't want to lose all your friendship with Marina, but when you feel like having a change on your island I'd go for it since you have both their Amiibo cards. I had Lily a first time, then let her go and re-invited her back. It's fun to have villagers cycle a bit in my opinion!
i love cycling villagers tbh, it helps me decide who i like and lets me try out folks i might have not! especially since you have their amiibos, i wouldn't stress too much (though i get that it's hard to let a cutie go).
i love the octopi in this game (i have zucker and he just makes me laugh constantly), so i had to go for marina. lily is super duper cute, but something about the octopi are special to me lol.

I really wish villagers would remember you if voided or brought back with amiibo. Why do they remember someone who visited for 2 min and didn't even talk to, but not someplace they've lived for months? (I know it's tied to that particular version, but seems that info should be saved to your island.)
