I like Marina but I love Lily as she's my ult dreamie lol so I was pretty biased on who I chose but I'd suggest you get Marina's framed photo first if you haven't yet that way if you did invite Lily and end up liking her more than Marina then at least you'd have her framed photo already for memories sake plus you won't have to worry about building your friendship up again for Marina if you do end up inviting her back since the end game of the friendship is getting their framed photo anyways (well at least for me lol) and you could just take your time rebuilding it naturally...

marina is very cute but the octopus villagers r kinda weird in this game with how they made the tentacles (& also they walk kinda funny!! never noticed that until this game). lily is small and precious and i luv her so much, her little blush is lovely. both r very good villagers imo so either way i think you'll be alright with ur choice!!

In my past Island I'd kicked her out for Raymond which was probably the worst decision I ever did because I missed her so much :0

I enjoy cycling out villagers because it gets a little boring to see the same villagers on your island everyday. And owning the amiibos of villagers you like takes the pressure off of not being able to see them again. Friendship level isn't a huge thing for me, but if it concerns you then you could always swap out Marina with Lily after you've obtained Marina's photo.

Often times I switch up my entire villager line-up because I like having a different variety of villagers (i.e 2 snooty, 2 peppy, rest of them 1 each, or 2 lazy, 2 normal...etc.)
