Welcome to the very first Christmas Edition of Let's Go to the Movies! How is this different then what I have been doing you ask? Well instead of bells as the award for the first right guess, the prize each time will be a different collectible!
Because I am awarding collectibles this time, I was going back and forth whether to do this or not, but I think I will add an additional rule just for this holiday based event. Rule #4
Rules:
1. One guess per scene. Don't post multiple times. Give everyone a chance. If your guess is wrong that's just how it is.
2. If a movie has a series be specific. Like Back to the Future 3 instead of just Back to the Future. Or if there's a lot of the same titles put down what year. Ex. The Haunting (1996)
3. The first unedited correct answer will be the one that wins the guess. And I will give it a reaction.
4. The winner of the previous scene can't qualify for the following scene. I may or may not change this, but I want everyone to
New scene is up! Reminder on rules. Full titles and year if there's more than one version. A little pressed with time so I'll will check back tomorrow for any posts/answers. Have fun!
Please read the below
Please read the below
I am adding an additional rule which I may drop. Will see how things go.
1. If you won the previous round you are ineligible for the following.
2. After you've won 2 Christmas scene collectibles you can still participate, but will have a 1 hour cool-down period before you can answer.
I might drop this one. I'm not sure if others aren't chiming in with interest because they never get the chance to join in since some scenes are answered really fast or if they simply just don't care to participate. I know this may put a damper on things, but please understand I want to spread this Christmas cheer with as many as I can.
Christmas #13
What scene have I tried to recreate?
Prize
So some of you might be familiar with this thread. Mr.Fox was doing these a while back and while I never really participated, I thought it was a really cool, fun, and nice thing they were doing. I'm not sure how long I will do these and even if making a new thread was necessary. But I thought I should because I'm not the OP of the original, I didn't want to hijack their thread if they ever decide to do them again, and it'd be easier for members to keep track without a bunch of really old posts.
Here is the original thread for reference.
LET'S GO TO THE MOVIES
The game is simple. I will be sporadically (or sometimes frequently) recreating a scene from a movie using ACNH, and the first person to guess the correct film wins a prize. The prizes will range from TBT to collectibles. Each scene will be assigned a specific prize and obscurity level. I will be leaning towards a 'general consensus' when it comes to obscurity levels. For example, a movie like
The Wizard of Oz would have an obscurity level of
(easy) whereas a movie like The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari would have an...
I'll keep the rules and concept similar to their thread. Basically I used Harv's studio to recreate a scene for a movie. It's up to one of the members to figure out what movie it is and post the answer. I can't really say I'm a connoisseur of movies, so I won't be labeling them with difficulty levels like Mr.Fox did. Since I really don't know what level of difficulty each scene I tried to recreate should be set at.
Just like their thread the rules are the same.
