Also open world game where the camera basically takes over the game so you must control that and nothing else, like Super Mario 64, Odyssey and some others. I mean it works on PC with eg. Skyrim since that is just moved around as you walk and explore but honestly but yeah when people try making platformers into that no.

I like that you said military shooters. I still really like FPS games that are unique like Overwatch and Battlefront II, but for games like Call of Duty and Battlefield get really old to me now. I'm surprised people still buy them. I'm guessing mainly to play with their friends or something.

Yeah, I have to admit one of the CoD game had really good multiplayer... mw2 maybe? But yeah I wouldn't buy just to grind alone and live out the war or snything.
YES exactly! Overwatch is one of the only third-parties games that I would love on Switch (Paladins's characters just aren't cutting it)! Shooters like that and Splatoon are the only real kind I like because sure, they're shooters, but they feel like more than just shoot, die, re-spawn, and repeat. There's no strategy to them. I guess it's also because Call of Duty and Battlefield are big names that many people just buy it just to stay up-to-date.

Yeah, when I say CoD, and don't even mean the old ones, because those were popular for good reason because they were all different. But now, they all look the same and the graphics are not looking any better from the last.

Sports games, particularly Fifa, basketball and the awful Mario sport games they bring out. (Note that I don't class racing games as "sport", if it's a typical circuit racer though I'm not really a fan.) Oh, and dance/singing games, not sure if I'd put them under sport, but special mention to them all the same.
Second, point and click/adventure games. The only use and "fun" thing about them is using them to make credit off on Steam trading cards if they're worth more than a couple of pence.
Platformers have also become less and less appealing to me over the years, particularly 2D ones. There used to be a time when I loved to play the Mario games in particular, sadly nowadays I don't really find anything interesting about the newer ones.

I'm with everyone else, those yearly sports games and military shooters, although I'll admit I liked Mercenaries as an exception to the latter category.
I'm not the greatest at some of those multiplayer ones if just because I'm usually invited by a group of super skilled people and I undermine them playing once as a newbie and don't get invited again.

My least favorite genre has to be shooting games where you’re constantly shooting down npcs from the same respawn points while waiting for objectives
MOBA games, I dont like them, not my style
Most sports games, some mario sports games are alright but still not my favorite
Visual novels arent really my type, some are ok like dangonronpa where there is a bit of action but for the most part are kind of boring
Fighters, stuff like smash bros, street fighters, mortal kombat, not really my type of game
MMO's too much of a grind most of the time and usually not that great gameplay

Fighting games and Sports games really aren't for me... I tolerate Smash cause its such a popular game and its essential to know how to play it because its such an essential party game but sports.... bleh.
Also horror games, the only time i play those are when im convinced by my friends cause they like watching see how scared i get :U

I really have no tolerance for sneaking in games. I mean...it has its place (if it's something like Metal Gear Solid). But, I hate when games just have it in there for no reason. I guess that's not really a genre issue, so much as a pet peeve with non-sneaking games having random sneaking missions. But, yeah...that's honestly what I hate the most. Not a huge fan of the stealth genre.
Otherwise...I guess all genres have their place. I can't say that I definitively hate anything. Even though I'm not a traditional sports fan, I still like boxing and mma type games. I couldn't care less about the "ball sports"...but I do still dabble in the sports genre for some of those "combat sport" titles. And I like the traditional sport titles that use familiar IPs...such as Mario Tennis and whatnot. So...yeah, I can't even give a hard pass on the sports genre.
The only one that really comes to mind, are multiplayer-only games. I'm not a big multiplayer person. If it's entirely multiplayer with no single-player...that's a pretty surefire way to guarantee that I won't play it.

Military FPSs'. Too difficult plus the online community is usually toxic.
I highly dislike military shooter games as well, like Black Ops and stuff like that. They just never really fulfill anything for me, and I’ve never been very good at them and never enjoyed playing them. I also have always felt as if the stories with those games have never been that great either, and that they could do so much better, but they rely way too much on other factors than an actual good story. However, I’m probably just super biased seeing as to how I know a lot of people really into those sorts of games.
I’m also not a big fan of sports video games, like basketball ones and other ones that are super similar. They can be fun from time to time when you have a bunch of other people playing with you or watching, but if I’m ever home alone and want to play something that’s actually entertaining, I highly doubt I’ll go to those games for comfort.
