Jock Villager Dilemma

I get it... I always have the issue of picking jock villagers and cranky villagers. I've found myself very fond of Genji and Goose though!

Bill and Teddy are the only jocks I like. I don’t know how their houses are in NH. But they had a different aesthetic to the rest of the jocks. Most of the jocks have either a sports, an Asian or an urban theme which almost never appeals to me.

Bam all the way. But since I decided not to go with the same villagers in NH as in NL, I'm considering Genji or Snake.

Personally, my favorite Jock villagers are Antonio and Cousteau. Both of them I like a lot because their design is appealing to me, but I really like Antonio because he's an anteater lol

My fav jocks are Leonardo & Tybalt! Their physical build makes them look natural lifting weights and when they talk about their physique it doesn't come across as ironic or deluded XD

If going by physical appearance, I think no one can out do Louie.

Tybalt and Louie are great too!!

From my experience (NL and NH) my jock villagers were the easiest to befriend and really kind. Conversations can be somewhat one note, but they can say some really funny things.

Coincidentally, my jock villagers have been birds (Jay in NL and currently Jitters in NH) which I feel like are a cute species.

I dislike jocks, but Genji is above that. He made me forget about the fact that he's a jock and a rabbit (not my favourite species). And his house is wonderful. Genji is the only jock you need on your island. Genji shall never leave mine.

I plan on having a town with 6 or so jocks because it is an athletic themed Tiger town, and I can say Leonardo is a real good boy. He was pretty one note early on but once you get to know him, he changes.

While I've never been very into sports, I've never really found Jock villagers to be that bothersome. They're good enough as far as I'm concerned.

Favorite Jocks would include Ribbot, Sprocket, and Sterling, but I also love Boone, Bud, Cobb, Drift, Louie, and Mott.

If I had to recommend one for you, it would probably have to be Bud. Reason being, he has the sunglasses and has a sort of surfer design. He seems like he'd fit right in on an island.

I like some of the Jocks, like Bam, Rod, Hamlet, Poncho and Drift. Jocks don’t bother me that much, because it’s mostly just talk and nothing else. When all of my Villagers are working out and Bam is sitting on the Ground and eating a Donut, I’m like: „So this is the workout you talking about ...“

I see them just as more energetic as others sometimes. As long as I don’t have more than 2, I’m fine. Otherwise it could get on my nerves.

I think whether or not jock villagers appeal to you has a lot to do with how you read their tone. In my view, their dialogue is so exaggerated and absurd that it's a good laugh. But they seem to come off as conceited and single-minded to other people, which is fair.

Genji looks very cute in this game, imo. His appearance contrasts his personality which is fun. Personally I have settled on Rudy.

Personally- I don't have much of a variety of villager personalities on my island. I don't have a single snooty or cranky villager. Here's what I have:
Smug (1) Graham
Uchi (1) Canberra
Peppy (1) Bluebear
Normal (2) Sydney, Fauna
Lazy (2) Clay, Drake
Jock (3) Genji, Boots, Antonio (I hate Boots)

But, just from what I've seen, I'd personally recommend going for simpler jock villagers, like Antonio and Genji. If you can't I don't know what ese I can tell you.
Don't go for the more flirty jocks, like Boots, who tell you that you should be doing some hot yoga.

Goose is a great jock because he's so goofy. I also don't like singing villagers, and he never, ever sings. He does a lot of Zumba outside of Whitney's house, though.

Hm... I like uchi villagers. I think the cutest is Canberra, but I also have that villager. Most people think she looks angry, ugly, stupid, crazy, but those people don't know her. She is the sweetest villager on my island.

I have Kid Cat and he is awesome. Not a huge fan of jocks but having one on the Island is great though for a mixture. Kid Cat cracks me up with his workout embellishment stories..

I thought about swapping him out for Rod as I have 2 cats on my Island and would only prefer to have one. Rod is a mouse as well and I don;t have one of them. Not sure on Rod though as he never gets mentioned by others.

Wait I had no idea Roald was a jock, I saw him on a mystery island thinking he was lazy
