It's going to take a lot of miles to unlock everything

Sure!

I'm a time traveler, so this won't work if you don't do that.

Spoilered in case others don't want to see or do this
To begin:

1. Set the date to 1/01/2021 (New Year's Day), time whatever starting out. If you're just starting the method, 12pm is best in case you get the talk to 3 villagers task for 1000 nook miles.

2. Start the day and check Resident Service's ATM. You automatically get 500 nook miles because of the holiday.

3. After checking the ATM, check your current Nook mile tasks. I only do easy ones like watering flowers, catching snowflakes, hitting rocks, and especially talking to villagers since they gather at Town Hall. I'll also sell fruit if the shop is open.

4. After doing the easy tasks, save and quit the game. On the screen that says "Saving complete, thanks for playing" or something along those lines, minimize the game without closing that prompt and set the time to 4:59am, then quickly hit the home button, go back to your game, close that prompt, and load the game again.

As soon as you walk out of your house, the day should roll over to the 1st again and you unlock new tasks and can check the ATM again!

If you get the task that gives you 1000 Nook miles for talking to villagers at 5am, it is ALWAYS worth it to save and close the game and change the time to 12:00pm on that day.
Oh, I don't TT so I won't be able to do that. But anyway, thanks for sharing it. It may not work for me, but it can surely be helpful for others users.

Actually I would have to disagree on that one!
I would say early stages are the most important time for extra inclines as its at a stage in the game where the island isn't terraformed at all and so it's all up to you what happens.

There are no items placed down.
No houses set.

Early game is when a player starts working out what they want for their island.

I had an island once where it turned out I did need 10 inclines so all my early planning went out the window.
Yeah but what I meant was when you barely unlocked terraforming even. Planning it is done in early stages yes but there’s no actual need for pro licenses yet when you haven’t even unlocked the basic ones is what I meant. Basically what I’m saying is for those who reset their islands not to feel pressured to grind for nook miles because they don’t need to unlock everything at once. They will naturally have enough to get what they need just by playing the game naturally, no pressure.

I think I only have about 60K since I spent like 200K on trying to villager hunt for Chester lmao. If I can't buy every item I want I will probably just buy them off someone on this website hopefully for tbt

After seeing this I think I should start grinding Nook Miles again. Since i may have around 10k 😅

and i’m honestly very thankful for that. 😅

I have over a million Nook Miles, so this isn't too big of a deal for me, lol. Definitely don't mind having to spend some of them after all this time. Plus it's a good way to get back into wanting to earn more Nook Miles anyways, I imagine.

I've been trying to earn more ever since the AC direct and I still only have about 120k 😅

How in the heck? Do you spend the whole day just grinding?

Even if I add up all the miles I've spent since last year, it wouldn't reach a total of 1 million.

haha no. i haven’t spent any nook miles in a long time, plus i’ve been working on completing every nook mile achievement for several months now, so they’ve just added up over time. 😅

Makes sense. Haha. I stopped aiming to complete the achievements because I'm too lazy to even bother. 🙃

On my main island I have about 200,000. Which is pretty good considering I stopped playing for about 13-14 months until recently. My second island I have 90,000. On my third island I have about 40,000.

I def have @xara goals 😊

I think I have j u s t enough! I reset a while ago and haven't really been focusing on daily tasks so I'm glad it won't be too much of a problem. orz

It's a good thing I have plenty of Nook Miles stored up but unlike others I won't be unlocking everything all at once. Honestly I'm just excited to see what's available to us that wasn't show in the AC Direct and then take it from there.

Ah perfect, I was wondering. I'd been cashing them in for bell tickets (as in just not even looking and repeatedly pressing A while watching tv) to make sure I has plenty of bells, but then I wasn't sure about miles. I planned to keep around 100,000, but accidentally went over cos I wasn't looking, but luckily I have just about enough for everything it seems and will no doubt be collecting loads more as they just seem to be throwing them at me these days haha.

i have almost 1 million just from playing everyday since launch -- i've only grinded a few times since the first few months, and it hasn't been for a long while. the tasks get kind of repetitive sometimes lmao, so i usually don't bother unless i really feel like playing for multiple hours. i also haven't gone island hopping in god knows how long since i'm just letting my rotating slots be filled with my sister and girlfriend's reject villagers. (really wish there was a way to empty your void in this game, but alas.) still, i definitely have enough to buy at least one of everything and go on plenty of tours with kapp'n, so this shouldn't be a problem for me lmao.

thanks to resetting and then not playing for a while i'm only sat at about 30k miles at the moment 😅 although in this build up to the update while i actually have motivation to play i have been working on grinding out both bells and miles, so hopefully i'll get even halfway there before the update comes. but i'm in no rush to buy every single item immediately (i'm fairly certain i have enough to at least unlock all the recipes and everything) so i'm happy to be a bit behind!
