Is the 3DS in Trouble?

yeah, i haven't seen any real advertising, either. i don't recall any for the DS, either (until animal crossing/mario kart came out..), but it is odd that nintendo doesn't advertise well enough for just about any system of theirs.. except the wii. i think we'd all like to forget those commercials, though.

now that you say that, I guess it's true that Nintendo hasn't really advertised for anything. I do remember seeing lots of things for the DS lite though. And the commercials for the wii, i agree, were just. yeah.

The 3DS's main problem is it's gameplay time (30minutes), over that you're looking at hellish side effects. I even talked about it to JasonBurrows.
I think everyone bought it in a HUGE hype without doing their research, got pissy, then ***** fitted to suddenly relise Nintendo will not take 'em back.
I always said "Wait a year or two, Nintendo will improve the technology and we'll see it become like normal gaming"

I've seen both television and print ads in the last week or so, not to mention the usual promotions in retailer weekly print inserts. Let's hope the new game releases appear soon.

There's nothing wrong with it. There just aren't any good launch games/not popularized/and lacking software. The effects aren't bad.

WOW!I haven't heard any complaints until now.Personally I think it's a MILLION times better than the Wii in every way.I have no complaints really.Hopefully it'll pick back up for Nintendo.Awesome system.

I'd get one, if it wasn't 250 bucks. It costs 50 dollars more than a Wii. Hardly seems worth it to me. Plus I don't have 250 dollars to just dish out on a new handheld system. I played around with one at GameStop and it seemed alright. But the titles didn't scream out at me "buy me now!"

I mean, its a thought to use my tax returns to get one... But a very small one.

Dude this is a new launch.The Wii was 300$ when it first launched.The 3DS is worth it.I know 250$ isn't a small price at all,but it's a

I think the main problem which has been highlighted is the issue with the 3D. People are so unused to it that it's causing problems. The biggest reason for returns was illness, not range of games etc.

Although I agree that the range of games avaliable is shabby to say the least. They should've at least waited until they had got LoZ OoT out or the new AC, it'd be doing better due to the cult followings.

The launch games aren't bad as far as I know.They have popular games like Super Street Fighter IV.I don't know about you,but that seems like a popular series to me.

One really good game. One game doesn't make a system. Nintedogs + Cats is a first party game, but it gets old fast and you probably don't want it if you have real pets. Face it, the launch games weren't all that great.

P.S. Does your spacebar not work or something?

I played it, It's OK but not massivly amazing ( like all games of that genre).

Like I said, the big name titles people want for the 3DS are still months away. Hence the problems.

And plus they can't exactly ''keep us busy'' for the 2-4 months we have to wait for the BIG titles like Animal Crossing, Legend of Zelda ETC.

Well genius go play a Wii game or something dude.They don't have to "keep you busy".Your a big boy/girl. Not trying to be mean,but good night dude don't make a big deal about it.LIFE isn't about the 3DS launch games.
