hiii everyone!
so, i saw a thread like 5 minutes ago about visits to the train station (to unlock more variants of the train station)
do you guys think it's worth it, to spend time having people visit back and forth?
did you ever do it? how long did it take?
thank you, can't wait to hear your opinions xoxo

yea i did it. wasnt that hard esp cause i play and trade often. got the new station and done with it

I did it in my main town because I really wanted the Zen Train Station. I got there by just having my husband and my mayor from my extra town visit as often as possible, plus a few trades helped. It took a little while and it's boring if you just have people going back and forth constantly. But if you're not controlling the travelling player like I was, then at least you can watch TV or browse the forum or do whatever else while people are visiting. You also don't have to do it all at once. I would do anywhere from a couple to 10 visits in one sitting and do more later.

It's a nightmare to do, but the upgrade options are worth it.

I do hope we don't have to visit someome 100 times in New Horizons for an upgrade though.

Depends on whether or not you like the other train stations. I did it and ended up not liking them much so it wasn't worth it for me.

I sort of just got it by constantly letting people come to my town and helping them. More people were looking to like buy something or shop or get ideas so I just opened it up like that rather than anything else

i got help from on here and tbh it wasn't that bad, since i was reading a book irl in between the visits, and i really love the upgraded station i got.

I think it’s worth it if you’re going for a themed town. My main town has a zen town hall but a regular station because I like the colours of the original. Sometimes you’re not so lucky and may be better off getting the upgrade. As someone who has received visits from others coming in and out and have done the same for others, it is a really boring and tedious process. In the town that I was working to get the upgrade, I made sure all trades happened at my town and jumped at any opportunity to take Katie or have people collect signatures. Then some very kind members helped me get the last few by going in and out a couple times! If you need some help with visits, I can probably visit you a few times as well. Just let me know :)

I've never done it before since I don't exchange friend codes anymore but now that I have two 3DS systems again (I technically have 3 but one is broken), I might actually try to do this with my two towns?

I got both hosting and travelling gold badge back then by trading like nuts. I didn't even realize that I got the badge or were sure what it means, since it was not very after starting to play NL. Now I'm thankful of it 'cause more option to remodel the station is definitely something I'd love to do in my town. Though, I'd rather recommend to achieve that naturally by playing online than letting people in only specifically for that purpose. If it's that way it'd be deadly tedious imo;

It's worth it to have people come and visit. The only thing I did not like was the loading screens. If you trade a lot or have people willing to help visit you'll be able to get the upgrade in no time.

I think it's definitely worth it! I love my upgraded train station.

I had a lot of people come over for my shop and I also gave away free Sanrio camper visits for visitors, but I also had a really friendly forum member spend a long time going in and out of my town to get me to the necessary number of visits since it was such a slow progress otherwise.. Very grateful, that sped it up at least a month or two!
