i might buy a 2nd acnl cartridge for cycling, i would sell the villagers for tbt, but is it worth buying a second acnl just for the tbt?

Not anymore with the new amiibo update lol

And also why would you spend real money to get fake money

Just post more

As someone who has eight towns, my opinion would be yes. If you are thinking about using it as a cycle town for the sole purpose of gaining tbt, I think there will always be a market for this, albeit a smaller one than before. Now that you can use amiibo cards to invite anyone to your town, I suspect many players will simply pick that villager's card up on eBay. This gives them carte blanche access to that villager permanently. But there will always be players who will come to TBT to adopt villagers.

I think i'll get one. i might do it in my current town for now.

Since you can get the game for pretty cheap, I say why not? Turning it into a cycle town could be a fun challenge. I would also say that with the new amiibo update, people may just buy amiibo cards to get what they want, but going to buy from others never costs real money for the buyer so there should be still be a good market.

tbh with the update its more worth your money to buy amiibo cards and try to get the popular card characters to cycle out

Since the update it's kinda useless imo, i have a second town because my first one looks kinda bad but I'm really attached to it and have fond memories of my first, so i bought a second.

Depends. I have a second copy just so I can travel whenever I need to. (I have an older and a new 3DS)

I'm glad I have a second copy but with the update, it's really just good for travel. The organization part isn't really needed with the new storeroom.

I like my villagers. so yeah, I bought a new one for amiibo villagers. I already owned a couple for awhile and some of them just happen to be link and the squid sisters.

One of the reasons to buy a second copy is to not have to deal with other players when you need to offload Katie or get signatures, but this may matter less to you than it does to me.

Depends really. I have a second copy I used for cycling but it's pointless now with the update when there are people who have amiibo cards to use for themselves or use for cycling. I just use it to mess around on now. Never got round to making it a proper town, it's handy for storage if you have access to a second DS. I haven't the motivation to run 2 towns properly though

This would be fantastic if it were the case. If you have ten dream villagers to try and find out of four sets of 100 cards, with each pack of six cards going for 5-6 dollars... it adds up fast. Two card packs in Canada is over $15.

Ebay is a good option to an extent, but depending on the popularity of the character or SP their price can be over $5 per card unless you have someone willing to trade something you have for what you want.

If you find attraction and enjoyment in cycling or just having another town with a different story, buy another copy for $20. It especially makes more sense if you don't care about the novelty of the cards. It may take longer to get a certain villager, but restarting a town will give you 8 new immediate villagers in a few TT'd days.

Shhhh, don't let Nintendo see you admit you'll stop buying extra copies of the same game or they may not have updates like this in the future.

Now that we have the update I'm totally set on buying, like, 4 more copies of AC:NL. This update is just that good, Nintendo should definitely have more updates like this in future games.

*wink wink*

I have 2 copies and I think it's worth it, cycling might not go as well as it would have before after the update.. but that's not the only good thing about having two games, if you'd buy another one solely for cycling I think you might be disappointed, but otherwise, I'd say go for it!

it wouldent be only cycling because i can invite some villagers with amiibo cards

I don't know that it's worth it for tbt, but I love having a second game. Different town theme, more space for villagers, I can run errands back and forth so I don't need to find anyone online...lots of reasons. I think you won't be sorry!

No. But if you want to get dreamies for yourself or make a new town I suggest it.
