Is it weird that I kinda don't wanna terraform my island a lot?

Nope, I think natural islands have a lot of their own charm, as much as the super terraformed ones do. It might be different charm, but that's why they're natural haha

That is not weird at all. I wasn't planning to terraform a lot myself, but I might have done more than intended. Still, I am trying to keep the natural feel of the island, which is actually not that easy

The beauty of animal crossing is just how creative people get with their towns

I've seen islands that only fixes their rivers and nothing else. Nothing prevents you from keeping it the same. So don't worry about it. :D

But weird at all. Most of my island is kept the same except to make bridges actually fit on the river and making a new decorative river on my island. I think there's charm in the natural look and heavily terraformed look!

Yup I've pretty much only fixed my rivers. Terraforming is incredibly time consuming and can be stressful if you haven't really planned anything out. In the end it's your island, you should do what you like with it. :)

Nope. I did a little and straightened up some edges and stuff but I didn’t want to do anything crazy like elevate everything or add a million new waterfalls. I did some additions but overall my map is not too drastically changed.

Not weird at all. I've seen plenty of 'natural' islands.

I'm also between terraforming my own island and making it look a bit like a city or just keeping it mostly the same because of the nightmare involved in creating such island. But everytime I see an awesome island, I keep wanting to make mine look like it. 🙄

Not weird at all. I only used terraforming a tiny bit. I "fixed" any small things that bugged me and used it to move around some cliffs so that my secret beach was accessible and that was it. I prefer my island to look pretty untouched in that aspect. I'll probably make minor changes on my current island when I unlock the ability again but I prefer my island almost the way it is already. I picked my map because I loved it, why would I wanna change the whole thing? That's how I look at it. But that's just my play style. I like to see a ton of the super developed and elaborate islands online too, but i don't want to live on one. They're more fun to visit!

Edit: Typo

I didn't really terraform my island a lot. I extended a cliff, removed some ponds, and extended two waterfalls but everything else is pretty much the same!

It's weird. I wanna do a bit of terraforming to make my island cool n pretty but then I feel like it would look like a mincecraft flat world which I dislike,, I guess i'd miss the natural island look ;;

There's all different styles of terraforming, too.

I'm trying to terraform my island to create natural looking valleys and hills. I've seen some people perfect this look and I think it's beautiful (there are some stunning examples in the "share my map" thread).

Other people have some very boxy or symmetrical terraforming to create a specific aesthetic or design, and that's beautiful too just not as much my personal preferences for my own island. And then there are those who don't terraform and that's fine too! Anything and everything can look beautiful in this game!

Not at all! I'm quite the same, I used it to sharpen up some cliffs and fix some parts of my river I didnt like but apart from that my island is still looking very similar to what it looked like at the start, at least on a landscaping basis

Nope! I've added some hills, but I get too stressed when I think about tearing everything down or expanding the cliffs all the way to the front of my island, so I prefer just keeping the natural look, and maybe just refine certain spots.
