Inclines: enough or you need more?

THIS so much. I need more inclines and couldn’t care much about bridges. In fact, all the bridges in my island are only for decorative purposes because I can easily terraform around water and manage to live without any bridges. But inclines. I need inclines. And I don’t even have one of those crazy museum entrances that uses about 4. Imagine those islands.

agreeing with this agreement!

it seems particularly strange for a game that made a way for people to terraform land over water, to not give more incline options, when that's not a feature we can just bypass as easily. i know tons of people that don't overly care abt bridges that much - or that like the natural way of forcing people to find bridges along water, not having so many - but inclines are a different sort of requirement

(basically, i've already had to redesign to fit the 8 incline limit and i got a bit snooty-matootie about it lmfao.)

I got like 4 inclines going straight to my house on the 3rd cliff, kinda like a staircase. I did this without knowing the limit. Ughhhh. I only need 2 (or 4 if i wanna be greedy) more inclines and I would be pretty peachy.

I could do with more bridges, too, but those are easier to find a solution to.

I'm okay with it. I understand the limit: 8 each.

but i'd rather the limit be 16 fluid. if i don't use all my bridges, give them to me in inclines. or vice versa.
All the yes! It seems like this is a popular consensus but inclines > bridges. There are so many unique ways to make cliffs/second levels etc... that i have found myself needing way more inclines than bridges. It doesn't help that bridges need a ton of space and very specific river sizes that I find hard to fit on my island

right? and the more areas you dedicate for cliffs, the less area you'll have for bulky rivers!
should have made the limit fluid to either.

It's eight? My goodness I thought it was only five for some reason. I haven't even tried building another incline out of pure assumption that Nook was just going to shoot me down.

In the way my island is laid out, eight is enough for me. However, I could see why other people may struggle.

I mean 8 is enough in terms of functionality, but it definitely limits your options a bit. If I had more inclines to work with my whole island would be full of cliffs and elevated areas, but because I want everything to be accessible without a ladder or vaulting pole, I have to be a bit choosier.

I find I don't need a lot of bridges even with a very long river because it's so easy to narrow it in sections and dot little islands around to hop from one bank to the other. Inclines though ... no easy solution there 😭

I'm surviving with 8 but my perfect world would be 12 for better flow of movement around the island. Stuff like secret access from the back corners of the beaches up to the second level cliffs.

On the other hand, I just built my third bridge and even that wasn't really necessary. I'd prefer it if it was 16 structures total, mix and match whichever ones you want.

I didn't even know there was a limit and now I'm devastated... my island is never going to come together ajdfklajf D:

I had to make a few compromises/adjustments to make it work. Initially, I would've needed 12 inclines but managed to cut it down to seven (eight, if I want easy access to one of my second level cliffs).
I like the way it turned out so I'm not too mad about it (it forced me to be a lot more creative) but I still wish we could have at least two more inclines.

I also used all of the eight bridges because I have a lot of rivers on my island (I love the look of bridges so I made sure I would need a lot of them) but most people won't need all eight of them.

Honestly, I personally can deal with the limit of 8 actually. At the moment, I have two, may need a third one and that's pretty much it. I will not building any more hills/cliffs where inclines are needed. But I do understand people who are going for a certain theme and need more of them, it's kinda annoying then when you have to keep an eye on the limit.

10 would have been better. I want to use 4 for the museum but I think I will just be creative and get away with 2. I have an idea in my head that might look nice.

Unlike what most people seem to be saying, I could actually use more bridges and not inclines! Since my island is very similar to my original map, which has a big island in the middle, bridges would be very useful for me. I can see myself using more than 8 for convenience’s sake.

With inclines though, I think I’d need 4 max right now.

At first I was fine with it but now that my town is getting more and more developed and my plans are getting more elaborate, I feel like I want at least 2 or 4 more if I don't want to make any compromises to my designs.

just demolished my first project because it used two inclines and I need to narrow it down to one. :,) Definitely wish it was at least 10.

It would be nice if the limit for inclines is to be ten because my final plan might have more inclines than expected, although 8 is enough for me to have at the moment.

I only have three right now. I'm not really plowing ahead into terraforming, so who knows. 8 seems plenty but that can change.

I was aware of the limit even before I started building my first incline. I only build one if I need it and try to make it less obvious. I ended up with six and I'm almost done (on the outside, at least) and currently have three bridges. I could use another bridge but it's not really needed.

I currently have five, which is enough for me atm, but I can see how people can be pressed for more than eight depending on how hilly their area is. I’ll probably end up with six or seven once my island is complete since I still need to format my secret beach area and a few spots here and there.
