It has begun! I'm finally making new videos! This one's a submission for a position at ZeldaDungeon.net for their news staff. It's certainly not the best, as it was really rushed, but it's a start nonetheless. I really want to continue to make Nintendo related videos like this, whether I get the position at Zelda Dungeon or not. Anyway, any constructive criticism or comments is greatly appreciated.

Ahhh...
So happy I get to find out for you Tye > w>
Going to the event tommorow and the woman dropped a hint that I'll be playing one of the Zelda games to be released.
I'll be sure to take pictures for you and jot notes.
Nice vid anyway.

My opinion is that the motion plus in zelda is the greatest thing since sliced bread. How can you NOT say you've not played something like Zelda with a normal controller and felt the urge or want to slice the air with the controller? I loved Twilight princess on Wii and my friend showed me the one on Gamecube and I immediatly moaned and wanted my Wii version. It helps many controls like the Bow and Arrow (making it ALOT easier to hit a moving oppenant) and makes the game more indepth and immersive.
I agree with you, some games motion controls won't work. Take Redsteel multiplayer. That was TERRIBLE using the wii controls. I was annoyed there was no gamecube controller ability (Given its like golden eye with the additional use of a sword which was a nightmare to use anyway).
Fact is Wii motion controls are more for the weekend when you have nothing to do. Chances are if you've come home from work you're gunna hit the DS or another similer console rather than the Wii, and if you do you're likely to hit a very slow pace casual game (Animal crossing, harvest moon ETC). Rather than a fast paced game which requires every iota of concentration.

Oh, awesome! I'd suspect that it would be Ocarina of Time 3D, not Skyward Sword, but getting a chance to play either one early is awesome!

Yea. I edited my post while you posted. I'll be sure to PM you about what I played since your part of Zelda Dungeon and getting a 1-up like quotes and stuff from someone whos played it is always a boon.
BTW incase you hadn't relised. Its me, Sanji xD

Well that was enjoyable. Thought it was well edited, nicely presented.
I'll watch through again, maybe leave a comment on what I think.

Good luck in this whole position thing.

Oh, I didn't realize that that was you, Sanji, lol. Welcome back! Or I guess you've probably been back for awhile and I just haven't noticed. XD Anyway, you should post your comment on the video page on YouTube, too, so everyone can see it. And I'm not part of Zelda Dungeon yet. But hopefully I will be soon, if they choose me.

What did you use to make the video? I'm leaving a comment on youtube as well.
I used Final Cut Express. And thanks for the comment!

Thanks, I really appreciate the feedback. I was afraid that nobody would like it... I guess I was wrong, and that's good, lol.

Lol dw. I did come back about 2 weeks ago. Fresh start and all.
I should but I've grown really lazy in the last year, I'll do it sunday when I'm free lol.

get a haircut, hippie!

i think it was well done & edited. i didn't watch it all (i was too busy trying to find the "get a haircut, hippie image" but i listened, and it was good information, though you seemd to play up the innovation a lot. it is innovative when used as skyward sword is using, but for point and click.. mouse + keyboard on PC will get the job done better, and has been doing so for quite some time.

but as for the video. it looks good. one piece of advice i'd give you is to maybe try some green screen stuff, since you're using a lot of after effects and the like. it may not fit in with the video/information, but it can help to illustrate some things easier, i'm assuming.

good video, hope you win the contest thing at the other forums, all that jazz.

I was never talking about just normal point and click controls... And I'd argue that whether or not a mouse and keyboard is better than point and click on Wii is more of a personal preference, not a fact. I couldn't imagine playing Super Mario Galaxy with a mouse and keyboard.

Anyway, thanks for the comments. As for green screen, I would love to use it, but I don't have any kind of studio that I could work in. I don't even have a green wall or sheet, and even if I did, I don't have the proper equipment to distribute light evenly.

i understand what you're saying.. some games take more advantage of the buttons & d pad on the wii mote, along with motion sensitivity, etc.. but shooters were not revolutionized by the controller, outside of being the first time a console game got such control.
yes, it comes down to personal preference as to which is better.. but it is not a matter of preference when you say which is new, or innovative.. etc.

i could imagine playing mario galaxy on a keyboard, easily.. would it be better than a wiimote + nunchuk? probably not, but i could get used to it.

You're right about that, but what did I say was innovative that really wasn't?

Good job. Only criticism is that you spoke a bit too fast and without much meaning, so it sounded a bit too scripted if you know what I mean. Obviously you need to script something like that, but slow down a bit and then it'll sound more natural :)

Nice job on the video Tye.

For me, I won't get tired easily if it's a new Zelda game. I had no problems with the Wii version of Twilight Princess.

Never played a Zelda Game, but I might buy the one for 3DS or Wii.
Also your video is great!

Yeah, I know that it sounded very scripted. That's my biggest concern with the video. But with practice, I can fix that.

Thats just nerves. After you get a few more videos under your belt you'll ease up. Plus your body language looked like it was scripted.

BTW, nicely TIDY collection. I bet its never that tidy usually xD
