If you have an outdoor café on your island, will you be tearing it down once the update arrives?

Probably tearing mine down and replacing it with Brewster's if the building isn't too big! My outdoor cafe was kind of a filler idea It would be cool if we got some kind of restaurant building in the future too...

I moved it behind my museum so it looks like it's an outdoor part of Brewsters.

I had a big outdoor cafe a long time ago. But due to lag, I decided to rebuild it in a smaller size, and conveniently placed it exactly on the same side of the museum as The Roost would be (I don't have a crystal ball, I promise). The only thing I'll change on it is the fencing and maybe the tables.

I'm keeping mine. It's south of the museum, over some water, adjacent to the town hall. I don't see any reason to remove it

One of my secondary character's house is a cafe and outside I just have a couple tables and chairs. I'm going to keep it. I like Brewster's cafe, but an outdoor area is a different thing. Also hoping to spruce up the inside with the new items.

Noup! I mean I set my cafés up so I can pretend my villagers go to these places and sometimes they’ll actually go to them lol. I love Brewster but I will probably not frequent the café that much, but I know I’ll be running around my island all the time, so I’ll see the things I build more than I’ll see his café. And when you live somewhere you don’t usually have just ONE place, you have lots of different cafés and shops and bakeries with different styles and things. So if I’m going to look at my island in the same way, I don’t see why I would limit myself to having just one thing. Especially when I can decorate my cafés to my liking and add things Brewster’s doesn’t have, like boba and cakes, etc.

I'm keeping mine. Mine is a French bistro type cafe on a cliff-top. It's actually one of my favorite parts of my island.

I kind of ended up with three different drinking spots on my island when I think about it. (pictures could be better, but it's raining currently)

Henry's Blue Rose Cafe

This has been around for ages. I changed it up some with a change of tables, chairs, and removing Blue Pansies that were mixed in. Overall it's a tribute to Henry's first birthday in which my 1st Blue Rose spawned which is located between the Nova Lights. This cafe has more meaning to me than Brewster ever will, so I don't think it'll be leaving.

Rex's Lighthouse Lounge

When I brought in Rex, I had no idea what type of yard I'd have for him. Then Lighthouse clicked in my mind resulting in this little lounge with beverages and snacks. I enjoy the aesthetic quite a bit, so I'll likely keep it even if Rex moves out.

Jacques's Nighttime Bar

This one was me playing around more with fancier looking stuff to give Jacques something cool and different. I often find myself not liking how it clashes and looks out of place, but I also love the ice furniture's colors. The little flower in front of the DJ Station also bounces back and forth like it's dancing... it's kind of cute. This is the one most likely to be taken down.

So nah, Brewster won't be chasing out my locales with his new chain cafe on my island. I might alter or remove them at some point, but it won't be because of Brewster.

on my previous island i had a little cafe and i think i probably would've kept it, because it filled in a gap on my island quite nicely and fitted in with the theme of the surrounding area. i probably won't be building a massively similar one on this island since the roost will provide the actual functionality of a cafe, but i'm toying with the idea of having a bakery that has a small seating area

No, probably not. The only reason I would tear it down would be to replace it, and I think I'll have plenty of things to decorate after the update.

Mine is an outdoor cafe area. It’s pretty small. I made a custom design of the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf logo(a Southern California based coffee chain) and I’m proud of the design. I’m not sure if I want to keep it or notView attachment 406868

If ( ) we can have take a ways, its a cute place to drink your coffee outside the brewst, you can just take the cups from the tables and sit there have a drink when ever you fell like it, its an adorable little space

Nope! I like mine too much and tbh I probably won't be visiting Brewster very much. Besides, sitting in the cafe inside at Brewsters is different than sitting outside with a cup of coffee. ^^

I have a riverside one that I plan on keeping. I built it for Makoto (aka Sailor Jupiter) who is my villager that loves baking so I figured having a little outdoor café to sell her goodies at would be perfect. I plan on making her house into a bakery eventually as well.

In my case it doesn't really take away from Brewster's as his café is more about the coffee while mine (Makoto's) is more about the sweets, cakes etc. Mine is also pretty small so I see Brewster's as more of a gathering place while mine is more of a stop by for a quick break with a snack and enjoy the river type.

I just tore my down BUT with the new HHP features, I'll be designing resident and villager homes to be businesses! Ex. a snooty villager's home could be a beauty salon and it can be placed in the downtown area of my island.

I have some kind of a bar/café + concert place, and I don't plan to remove this area.

I think having Brewster's café and an outdoor one is too different things after all, and it's nice for the villagers so they can change the place to chill from time to time
Imagine a big city with only one café, you'll get bored quick

I'll probably get rid of mine and change it into an outdoor library or something of that sort. I kept mine from that event as well and even though I still like it, I think it's time to change things up.

I already tore mine down but now i'm considering just redoing something similar near the museum itself, like a small plaza outside, not sure yet...

I have a small outdoor cafe type area right behind the able sisters and as of this moment, I do not plan on getting rid of it unless some new idea comes by or something. I like the area so I don't think I'll ever change it, but who knows?
